DON'T GO HERE!!! I have never once wrote a review on anyone or any establishment but I can't not let everyone know about this awful dentist! I started going here after my insurance changed and my old dentist didn't take my new coverage in which advanced valley dental did so I made the switch to save some money. Mind you I have always been told how "beautiful" my teeth are and I fortunately have never had any issues with them, I've only had one cavity which was when I was a child and it was a baby tooth so in my adult teeth up until my visit at Advance Valley Dental I had zero cavities. I left my first appointment with AVD with 6 cavities, when at my prior cleaning with my old dentist which was just six months earlier I had zero, but this day I was leaving AVD with 6 cavities and an upcoming appointment to get them filled, I was confused to how I had contracted 6 in just 6 months but trusted in the "dentist" and her hygienists that we telling me this information in hopes a doctor wouldn't embellish or LIE about such a thing. I went the next month for a filling and a couple months after for some more fillings hoping to have this all put behind me, when I was then told my cavities have went from six to NINE!!! The red flags were flying at that point even when I knew something was off in my first initial visits because it just seemed so crazy to pretty much contract alone cavity a month. So I then called up my old dentist to see if she could see me in hopes she would have an explanation, in which I had new X-rays done since AVD refused to give me my X-rays (another red flag) and come to find out I have MAYBE one area of discoloration that could turn into a cavity down the road in which my dentist (not AVD) says she will watch in my every 6 month routine cleaning. Long story short Advanced valley dental are hackers and are morally corrupt thief's just looking to ruin your mouth. Unfortunately my tooth sensitivity is still very painful from the two fillings that were done by AVD to the two of "nine" non existent cavities but if I learned anything it was just because you think you're in good hands because a particular dentist takes your insurance means nothing, I have continued to go back to my old dentist Dr. Dawn Cooley in Unionville, CT because she would never steer me or any of her patients wrong and thanks to her she is not filling my mouth up with fillings to completely healthy and nice teeth, and isn't out to just take your money or your insurance's money. Please if I can tell you anything it's DO NOT go to advanced valley dental, you and your teeth will severely regret it and be paying for it, both figuratively and literally!!! I truly wish I had taken the time to read reviews before choosing to become a patient of Dr. Orr. From the moment I stepped into the office for my initial intake appointment, I was struck by the unkempt condition of the place. The floors were dusty, and the waiting area had an unsettling clutter that immediately raised my concerns. However, I didn't want to jump to conclusions; perhaps they were just dealing with a staffing shortage, I thought. During my consultation, Dr. Orr was surprisingly insistent about not using my insurance, which I found rather unusual. She claimed she could offer me a much better deal if I opted to pay out of pocket. She created a payment plan for the extraction of my four wisdom teeth and the fitting of a crown. Although the proposed payment plan seemed more affordable, I was a bit wary. We began with the crown procedure, and I paid half the fee upfront, with the agreement that I would cover the remaining balance in three installments. However, when I returned to have the temporary crown replaced with the permanent one, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. Dr. Orr demanded I pay the entire amount upfront, disregarding our previous arrangements. Feeling somewhat naive, I explained to the front desk staff that Dr. Orr had initially offered me a payment plan. Instead of understanding, they laughed dismissively and bluntly told me that I would either pay the full amount or be denied treatment altogether. Frustratingly, they kept the first half of my payment, leaving me with a partially completed procedure and a feeling of betrayal. Best cosmetic dentist experience in the simsbury city yet! Living in simsbury for 8 years now, I have tried several dentists and never had a favorite. Today that changed. It had been way too long since I had a much needed dental exam. I called ahead to see when there was availability. I was very lucky to get an appointment the same day. They are right next to post office in a very convenient location. I loved walking into this modern office. The dentist office is very high tech, this doctor has amazing level of training, They have coffee, apple juice, and amazing music, comfortable soft sofa felt right at home, Dr orr and her dental staff are awesome in my book! Dr orr was very informative, gentle, straight forward, and made the visit enjoyable and comfortable. We talked about my future smile make over in a day, and more. All while receiving a painless 4 fillings. If I could, I would have stayed all day. It wasn't until I fell upon Dr Orr Reviews, nearly everyone had positive comments so I was excited to give her a try. I'm really glad I did because she is truly a diamond in the mine. Makes you feel like you are the most important patient while you're in her chair. she is a real expert in cosmetics dentistry. I needed 2 front teeth fixed for weekend wedding. Dr orr is the best dentist I have ever met! As I'm sure 99% of the population would agree with me, and then their are some crazy people lol, going to the dentist is no walk in the park. There's the general discomfort of having someone poking around your mouth, as well as the dread about news, like cavity or gum recession. Teeth can actually be stressful, at least for me in past. Anywho, Dr orr practice was pleasant from the start. she has great Personality and you feel you are in front of highly educated aesthetic dentist, I was greeted by the receptionist who had already contacted me prior to my appointment to take care of my insurance information. virtually no wait time, took my x-rays and Dr Orr herself came to explain the analysis of my x-rays She displayed the images and read the story of my teeth, listened to my history and concerns. i feel advanced valley dental is the gold standard of general dentistry. They are by far superior to prior many dentists I have ever visited. The staff and dentists are professional and dr orr seems very highly educated in various kinds of dentistry, dr orr has in depth knowledge of lasers and surgery when it comes to expert and specialist. i think dr orr is the top dentist in Connecticut . all her staff seems highly trained when it comes to effective dental care. dr orr was very gentle with my mouth, i never felt not even a slight pinch, no pain, no fear, dr orr got my procedure done in 45 min very quick , very effective , i was shocked it was done already. in my previous dental experience this kind of procedures takes 2 to 3 hours. i felt i am in safe hands. She restored my 2 molar crowns with cerec and bone graft, I have no issues with that tooths. She will inform you of any discoveries or next steps during your exam and procedure. moved to simsbury for seasonal school system, I needed new dentist because the place I was going to had a cold atmosphere and old people . I researched dentists in simsbury and found new advanced valley dental was top rated, really love this place, man do I know why now ! The doctor was so nice the minute I walked in i was welcomed and felt home, the hygienist who did my cleaning was hilarious, insightful and too much fun, I didn't even want to leave! I am compelled to write this review for Dr. Orr. I usually keep a low profile on the internet and do not post reviews often. I am a frequent International traveler and business takes me to new places and cultures and obviously new foods and changing oral habits - After all they say - What you eat matters! So, recently I started noticing problems in my teeth, gum disease and decay / tooth infection, gum abscess. it was painful too. Dr. Orr did a fantastic job in removing the infection and successfully prevented further complications. Her dentistry equipment is state-of-the-art in CT and I am really impressed from her skills and staff. I would also love to add that Dr. Orr is an expert when it comes to digital dentistry and 3D printing, superior visualization and advance dental diagnostics. I wish I could give 100 stars. I had just moved to Town and I had this inexplicable tooth ache which was really killing me. I had to find a good dentists and upon inquiry from locals, Dr. Orr's name came out on top. I'm thankful that I ended up coming to Dr. Orr. The front desk was super helpful and super friendly, Dr. Orr is very knowledgeable. She has a great sense of humor and she makes sure you're comfortable and aware of everything. The reason for my intense pain was bad tooth which was infected, I like good looks so options where given. I decided on extraction and an immediate implant was placed in 45 minutes wow, with my blood PRP Membrane, now that is impressive! There was no more pain and I felt so good. I came here for the first time after not seeing a dentist in 1 year. I was in pain. They took my x-rays. Dr Orr came across very friendly and knowledgeable and highly experienced, she really helped me calm my anxiety down! She explained me about the root canal. My root canal procedure was pain free with a laser and done in 30 minutes. I'm glad I found this office. I feel comfortable there and they were quick in doing the procedure. Everyone is super professional. The office atmosphere is high energy and highly motivated and the staff is great for adults and kids. They are highly trained. The alignment of my teeth had been messed up for years and all of a sudden one day I realized that I cannot even bite any food properly. My girlfriend highly recommended Dr. Orr for Invisalign and it was such a relief to know that Dr. Orr is an expert in Invisalign Clear Aligners.
