Advanced surgical. I had a tooth removed. The office was clean and very calming atmosphere. The front desk staff were very friendly and kind. Nicki the dental assistant was amazing, calm relaxed and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Jeong was very professional. Skilled with his work. Very kind and reassuring. Dr. Jeong took the time to make sure I was comfortable and that I would not experience unnecessary pain. Extraction was done with precision and no pain. I have had teeth removed elsewhere and have never had this type of experience. Wonderful caring Dr. and team. Highly recommend. read more

BEWARE! Their billing practices and office staff knowledge need an overhaul. I specifically called to ensure that they were within my dental network and was told yes. However, post examination and xrays found out they are not in network. The entire process was put on me to work with insurance to understand what was covered. After more than 7+ calls across the office, billing and insurance, I still do not have ANY reimbursement for services. Also, when I repeatedly asked the staff if they were in network (even though I found out from my insurance they were not), I was NEVER given a true answer that they were in fact NOT in my network. While the dentist services and quality are fine, the business side of the house would lead me to not recommend them if you have another provider in network. For the price of the services I would expect more from their business practices. (Portsmouth, NH) read more

I was referred to Dr. Jeong by my dentist for my wisdom teeth, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The team was extremely helpful and kind, and the process was made so simple. The surgery went perfectly, and any issues I've had were immediately checked! I've heard some horror stories about extractions, so I was pretty nervous going into it. My nerves were soothed immediately by the friendly staff at the front desk and the very open line of communication by all staff in the building working with me. Any potential risk was disclosed to me multiple times, which I really appreciated! I can be forgetful, so to have such diligent staff really made all the difference for me. I'm a week and a few days out from extraction, and I'm already feeling mostly back to normal! I know in the future, if I need any more dental work I'll be coming here! The Advanced Surgical Associates Office, is spotless. The staff very pleasant. The assistant listened to my concerns addressed each one and assured me that this procedure would be painless. They will take the utmost care of my mother. I spoke with Dr. Wu who is very professional, pleasant, Knowledgeable, detail oriented and thorough with his evaluation of my Mothers mouth and her Medical history. I am a Dental Hygienist and honestly, I trust Dr. Wu with my Mom 100%. He has worked on my Dad and my husband. If and when the time comes where I need some type of surgery via Implant or extract. Dr. Wu is the Surgeon I would request. read more

The support staff was absolutely awful. Because they used the wrong codes they weren't paid from BCBS for a consult. They blamed me, and refused to see me if I didnt pay the large OOP. Do not trust these people. read more

Charged $100 for a "consult" to inform my husband of what they would charge him for a procedure - outrageous! He needed 2 teeth pulled and the "billing" person approached him and told him that they lumped the same procedure code for billing and cleaning with a consult and since he had his 2 cleanings in the year , they would need to charge him $100 for the doctor to give him a treatment plan - which consisted of him pricing the cost of extracting his tooth. I work in billing in a medical practice and this is double dipping!! Very bad practice. read more

I recently had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wu and could not be happier with the whole experience. He was friendly, informative, patient and most importantly good at what he does. The extractions were supposedly not as straightforward as most peoples are due to my bone being abnormally strong and two of them being impacted, pushed right up against my molars but he managed to do a fantastic job. I was fairly nervous about getting the procedure done since I had heard horror stories but Dr. Wu quickly put my concerns to rest. Patty at the front desk was also very helpful in dealing with my PCP's office to get the referral required to have the procedure covered under my medical insurance. Both Dr. Wu and Dr. Jeong were very helpful and returned both of my calls after hours to answer some questions I had which i greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Dr. Wu to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth taken out and would bet that Dr. Jeong also does a great job. read more

I had a consultation for a quadruple wisdom tooth removal at Advanced Surgical Associates a few months ago and then unexpectedly moved to the Cape Cod area. When I called the office to request a referral in my new location, Dr. Jeong himself called me back to recommend a colleague of his. Unfortunately, his colleague was booked up for a few months, and as luck would have it, one of my wisdom teeth became infected. I had a very short window of time to schedule a removal before starting a new job where I couldn't take time off, and I started panicking when none of the oral surgeons in my area had availability for months to come. That's when I called the Advanced Surgical Associates office again and got Sarah. I explained my situation, and Sarah was so kind, going out of her way to discuss all of my available options with me. Unfortunately, this office was also booked up for a few months, so we hung up the phone and I sat down to think over my options. No more than five minutes later, Sarah called me back. She had relayed my situation to Dr. Jeong, and he told her he would come in early outside of office hours to do my surgery given my situation. I can't even put my gratitude into words. I drove almost three hours to make my early appointment the following week, and I would do it again if I had to. Everyone from secretaries to nurses to the doctor himself were so kind to me and eased my anxiety (even though I was a bit late with traffic!), and the procedure went off without a hitch. Dr. Jeong even called me later that day outside of office hours to make sure I had no questions and that I was still doing all right. I will continue to make the long journey from my new home to Advanced Surgical Associates if need be. They were incredible, and I will recommend them to everyone in need of an oral surgeon! Went in for a consult today and the office is so beautiful, so clean and the staff was extremely nice, even when the phones were ringing constantly and the waiting area had quite a few patients in it. Not only did Dr. Wu make a special appointment for me in his busy schedule but he kept the office open, just for me, during a bad snow storm. He sent his office workers home but Dr. Joeng stayed to assist. I could not have asked for better service than that. read more

I have needed dental implants and as a dental hygienist and sales professional myself, we tend to be more particular about those we obtain care from. The front desk always answers the phone with a smile. A big deal to me. The clinical staff are always professional and warm, and I appreciate that. Even though I'm a clinical person, I have my fears too. But those were at rest dealing with Dr. James Wu and his office. As a formal dental assistant, I can also appreciate the time he spent extracting and placing implants. He was concerned about the soft tissue and the entire process from his end to the restorative side as well. He could have rushed the extraction but he took his time. He didn't make more money taking that time but that's just how he is. I overheard conversation with his assistant letting her know she could step out for lunch but she insisted on waiting for him. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated her ability to read him and what he needed next. It feels great to feel like you are having a simple procedure when all along you know you aren't. I had an appointment scheduled for a Monday I was told I needed to give 200.00 on arrival in a message left on my voice mail. We worked with this office for over a month. First we were told we could pay the bill on Oct 2nd with my flexable spending account that started on Oct 1st and they agreed to that. Then they call and leave a message two days before the surgery that I need to pay 200.00 and the rest on my flexable spending account on Oct 2nd. When my husband called they told him I needed to reschedule and that we were "misinformed". I was called two business days before surgery and told I needed to pay in full or reschedule. I could not reschedule because I had taken three vacation days from work and I would lose those days if I did not have the surgery on Monday. I called on Friday morning and spoke to Linda in the office. She was extremely rude. I asked what forms of payment they excepted for Monday because I would be paying the whole thing. I was told they take credit cards and a personal check with a social security number. I have never been to this office before and I owe them no money. It states on their website that they take personal checks. I received a call twenty minutes later telling my voice mail that I needed to pay the 1500.00 by credit card that they would not except a personal check from me. When I called the office to question why I was singled out they just told me that is what Dr Wu said so I asked to talk to the Dr and was told he was out of the country. I asked for a business manager and they don't have one. Linda put me on hold twice for over 10 min. When I asked to speak to someone else in the office she gave me to Sara when I attempted to talk to her she just rudely said my surgery was cancelled that she was told Dr Wu he refused to do the surgery. Thought he wasn't in the office. They false advertise they discriminate against their patients and they lie. read more
