I had an appointment with Dr. Gazetta an he so friendly and caring and took time to dicuss possibilities and options. The nurse that I had to care or feelings. She acted like she hated her job, when I called with a question she was so rude and snippy with me. I would only recommend for the doctors on staff. I would not recommend for the rude nurse Rachel. Two days in a row she was absolutely rude and did not want to help me. read more

Absolute trash. My wife was sheduled to have a cyst removed. When she arrived, they said she missed her appointment by a day. No reminder call, email the day before, nothing. Not even a call the of saying she's late. The front desk person, Lisa was extremely rude about it as well. Literally, every other doctor/dentist office would call to confirm an appointment the day before. My wife has been seeing Dr Dauhl since she was young, what a terrible referral that was. He just lost 2 patience. Never going to have anything done by these people. read more

Unlike the other people on here I had my colon resection by Darcy Shaw. I had diverticulitis four times with horrible lingering effects. I hooked up with Darcy Shaw after ??Dr. Munchnic?? now retired. Dr. Shaw is very nice, informative and understanding when it came to my issues. I never once had a problem with the staff or Dr. Shaw. The days working up to the colon resection were brutal. We got it done and recovery was less than a week, lingering pains for about 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I've had lingering effects from diverticulitis, IBS or something explainable but i'm working it out with diet and learning about different foods and the way it effects my digestive track. I've called after hours and always received a call from Dr. Shaw or another doctor, not sure on his name within 10 minutes. I would highly recommend Dr. Shaw. You feel like a person and not a number. I will always support Dr. Shaw. On another note, i've had numerous encounters with Dr. Shaws residents. Everyone has been very professional, caring and informative. I was in the ER for a night at Lee's Summit, HCA. and one of his residents stayed with me until my family arrived, (20-30 mins). He didn't have to but he did. Which calmed my nerves down. I was in excruciating pain. Whoever the resident was helped me out majorly. read more

My fiance went in to have a belly button hernia fixed. After just 4 days of surgery my fiance noticed that the hernia bubble that was in his belly button was not going away like it should have. He called the surgeons office and someone there said that it was most likely just still swollen and it could also just be pus left over from the surgery. I didn't think pus was a good thing but they didn't seem too concerned in the doctors office so we just blew it off. My fiance still felt like something just wasn't right and the bubble was getting bigger instead of smaller and there was a hard lump next to where his hernia was. My fiance went in for his 1 week post op appointment and again voiced his concerns to the doctor, and again she said that it was nothing to worry about and that it was just still swollen. The doctor then gave him a 30 pound weight restriction that he could lift. We both thought that was a little much but again we trusted the doctor so my fiance then began picking our 2 year old daughter up again. Two weeks after operation the lump still was not gone and while just pushing around on his belly button like he use too do, he realized that he could feel the hole that was in his abdominal wall before surgery and was then able too push his intestines back in that hole like he use to before surgery, that is when we knew that his hernia was in fact back... or still there and was not fixed properly in surgery. We ended up going back to the surgeon because we knew that not only was the hernia back it was bigger than it was before the surgery and it was not causing him pain and discomfort, that it did not do before. read more
