I was contacted via phone and text to schedule my appointment. The young lady was very nice when I called to schedule my appointment. On 4/19, I arrived and parked in the garage. Patients/visitors get up to 1 hour free to park. I was able to walk to the building, but be careful some of the employees speed leaving the garage. I was in the pedestrian walkway, when several drivers in hospital uniform came flying down the ramp. Once I was inside, I waited to check in. The front desk check in was okay, but it would made my anxiety easy if the lady asked me for both my identification card and insurance card during the check-in process at the same time. I have so many bad experiences when it comes to getting a mammogram. I was called back after waiting for less than 3 minutes and taken back to a room to change from the bottom up and given a gown. I was instructed to sit and wait for the technician to call me back. Michelle called me and took me back to the room. I informed Michelle that I had a bad experience my last mammogram and it left me scarred. But Michelle made me feel good and at ease. Her sweet demeanor and humor eased my anxiety during the process and we all left laughing. I would return for my annual if Michelle is still there.

Furthermore, there are multiple advanced radiology sub-centers. I came for a pelvic ultrasound. After being redirected twice, I made it to the imaging office for my treatment. After registering, I was called back. My technician's name was Julie. She made the experience valuable. She explained step by step what she planned to do. She continuously checked in with me during the procedure to ensure my comfort. Phase 1 was topical, and phase 2 was internal. At both phases Julie was gentle and assuring. I appreciated that the exam room and bathroom was clean.

They don't help with expediting or scheduling preop appointments. I was left on my own having to go through the general appointment line. They consistently acted as if they rather not be bothered. To me, this is really a reflection of the physician. Most excellent physicians that I have known would not allow their patients to be treated this way. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer is a scary thing. The additional stress of having to make phone calls and emails constantly added to my stress. The staff needs to get it together. I would not recommend. A little compassion goes a long way. I have been a patient elsewhere at Hopkins and most of the time I would rate it a 4 or 5. The imaging staff at Greenspring were great. Only 4 chairs in the waiting area and not much for entertainment other than a few pamphlets. We arrived and had to park in the pay garage: first 15 min free. After checking in a little early we waited for our 2:30 appointment. The doctor was running behind. So we ending up waiting more than 30 min to be seen. Not too bad but when you have to pay for parking every minute counts. The receptionist was nice and did offer us some refreshments. I declined but my father took them up on the offer and got a ginger ale soda. One we saw the doctor the experience was good. He was through and explained all of the option my father had concerning his recommended procedure from his primary doctor. Other than the extended wait time it was a pleasant experience. We will have to return for the procedure and we are confident we picked the right place. They did validate my parking, so there was no charge. I had forgotten my ticket and left it in the car but the receptionist was so nice that I didn't have to come back. I just called the office and read her off my ticket number and she was able to validate it over the phone. Grade a service.

I leave and schedule with Johns Hopkins who has actual nurses who know how to start an IV and my nurse looks at my arms and hands and asks "what's going on here?" Great question! She get the vein on the first stick. A couple of weeks later, I get a check for $ 22.49. Advanced Radiology. Great I think, at least accounting has their act together. I deposit the check and it comes back as "payment stopped". Really ? Avoid these folks. They suck greatly.
