I've been told all my life getting a mammogram sucks, so I went into it with some trepidation. But when I arrived, the calm happiness of the receptionist put me at ease. She got me checked in and returned my ID and insurance cards quickly. I was called back shortly thereafter, shown to a changing area, and provided a hospital gown that tied in the front. I was told to remove my clothing to the waist, put the gown on and sit in a waiting area. I was amused to be sitting there among 4 other middle aged women wearing the same gown - all with the same level of wrinkles, lol. Hey, I wouldn't want to iron those things either. Soon, a [mammogram tech?] person came to get me and led me to a room with an unappetizing looking mammogram machine. The thing is huge. I sat and answered a series of questions about my (and sometimes my families') medical history, then we got down to business. This is truly where the 5 stars comes in. I had to get up on that machine and hold odd poses while the machine squashed my boobs. While not painful, it was super uncomfortable. The tech had to get me settled on the machine properly which means she had to handle my bosom often and my person sometimes. When I say she was the most gentle with me, and super reassuring the whole time...it's so very true. She made me feel very at ease with a procedure that is cringy AF. And she talked to me the whole time, which made me feel better about having my top half exposed while I clung to a machine. Leaving was a breeze. The tech walked me back to the closet where my upper clothes were and wished me a nice day. Hoping I don't have results where I'm required to come back in for a similar procedure, but if I DO have to do that, I'm secure in going back to Women's Imaging at Mercy. No photos to attach this time, lol, duh.

First statement ever received from them, no invoice received. It didn't credit the insurance payments that were sent. It miscredited my out of pocket payment as an insurance payment. I used EOB and was proactive to pay. When talking to the rep I was told the hospital billing isn't their issue. Then why is on the statement you trying collect money for. The bill is paid in full between insurance payouts of over 4000 and my copays and they still want money. Based on the other reviews about immediate collections I am awaiting to see if they get it fixed. I was told to call back in two weeks, after the due date. Rep had a piss poor attitude that sours the experience of an other words good surgery and surgeon. EDIT: for reply from owner. I provided all the details to the rep including EOB benefits paid and dates paid. If you want the details talk to your rep as I have already given it.EDIT: I had the insurance company contact the "billing" department and they said the invoice was sent to the billing dept for review. The insurance company states I have no liability because the office forgot to send in pre-authorization. Their loss not mine, " According to the providers contract advanced notification was required for the service but was not received. Therefore, the applicable administrative reimbursement reduction was applied and deducted from the provider payment. According to the providers contract the patient may not be billed for the amount of the administrative reimbursement reduction," So to reiterate, they screwed up and then are trying to screw me. 1-star now for leaving the insurance company rep on hold and not resolving it when contacted by the insurance company directly telling them they were breaking their contract." STAY AWAY if you can. EDIT: 3 calls- no resolution. supervisor will not contact me. 3 months no refund still, 3 MRI's, 2 CT Scans and now 4 doctor visits went to other places because of this money they will not give back. Telling me to go to a website to leave feedback when I am directly calling is disingenuous to the people that read reviews as there is no resolution but said to try and make your sh!tty company look better. give me back my d@mn money.

I recently visited Dr. Oshinsky for another case of tonsillitis (I've had 2-3 in the last several years). I was able to get an appointment in less than 24 hours due to how severe my symptoms were. I had come from a horrible experience at an urgent care (the only place open that weekend) and was relieved when Dr. Oshinsky confirmed my hunch that I had tonsillitis when I had previously been dismissed by incompetent nurses at the urgent care. He gave me a detailed guide for the next 10 days including fluid intake, Tylenol and advil schedules, plus a prescription for both antibiotics and a steroid so I could start feeling better as soon as possible. He withheld from prescribing any pain killer since he listened to me when I said I had trouble breathing when I slept and wanted to make sure airflow wasn't suppressed any further. Obviously, I was very grateful for his foresight on that front and his listening skills. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Also, the nurses in his practice are very friendly and understanding. They knew I had trouble talking so they paid close attention to my paperwork to keep me out of as much pain as possible. Although Dr. Oshinsky is affiliated with Mercy, he's not their employee. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but just a little detail for anyone who cares to know. I highly recommend Dr. Oshinsky for all your ear, nose, and throat needs. He is trustworthy and with his years of experience, knows what the hell he is doing.

I am absolutely disgusted with the disrespectful, bullying treatment I received from Dr. Oshinsky…read more He spent most of our visit berating and ridiculing me, and became rude and defensive when I failed to laugh at his obnoxious, misogynistic jokes. He refused to listen when I described issues I'd had with a previous ENT (telling me "that would never have happened" when I described a adverse reaction to medication and "that doesn't hurt" when I described a painful test). I'm not sure how he could possibly have expected to diagnose or treat me, since he interrupted everything I had to say. At one point, I simply had to tell him, "Please let me speak." And, of course, he couldn't do anything for my persistent cough. Dr. Oshinsky is deeply unprofessional and remarkably unkind; I will never see him again and strongly discourage anyone from visiting his office.

The man is a fantastic doctor. He tends to err on the safe side of things, which, at a high risk pregnancy center...I don't blame him!!! The ladies at the front desk are amazing. I think at first, they were a little cold but once you got to know them (like me who went 3x a week for practically my entire pregnancy!) they are actually very sweet and caring. Quite honestly, I don't blame them for being that way at first, they are swamped with pregnant people all the time. I mean the waiting room is always packed, and lets face it, pregnant people get irritated rather quickly. Sadly, you don't get to see Dr. Atlas every visit. He has many other doctors nurses and sonographers working for him that do all the leg work, he basically looks things over and tells you if everything is OK. Since I got to know him so well, he came in and checked on me if he wasn't very busy, even if everything was fine. He worked very closely with my OBGYN (http://www.yelp.com/biz/hoffman-and-associates-baltimore#hrid:VTohqOA-OXFkpupsUs7j3w/src:self) which I really like. I didn't have to repeat things and I was never concerned that they didn't get reports. One thing that I really like about this place is that if you're really sweet to the sonographers and you're in the right room (only a few of them have the right equipment to do this), they will give you a 3D sonogram of the baby (if they have time)! Usually you have to go to a separate place for that and pay $100+ so, that's pretty awesome of them. These people hold a special place in my heart, they made having my children possible and made it a great experience even though I was having a difficult time. When I was admitted to the hospital for delivery, both times Dr. Atlas came to my room, checked on me and just sat and talked on his break like we were friends. The nurses called upstairs to ask all about the babies. They're just good people and they know what they're doing! I was going to write I'd trust them with my life, but I actually did trust them with my life, and the lives of my children, and they went above and beyond!
