In the end, he sent me to a hip surgeon, namely the one who had replaced his own two hips just a few months earlier. I knew I had severe arthritis but until that point was in denial about the need for a new hip. The hip surgeon took a detailed x-ray which showed I was at 'end-stage arthritis' (quoting the surgeon). Given Dr. Lowe had used this surgeon and had shared his own recovery video with me, I agreed to have my hip replaced. I am now 2 months post-surgery and could not be happier. It took honesty, humility, and empathy on Dr. Lowe's part to send me on to a hip surgeon. Just now I made a new appointment with Dr. Lowe since my legs are now a bit uneven and my butt crack is tilted slightly to one side. In reading what the internet has to say, this is quite common after a hip replacement, and the best 'fix' is to have some orthotics which even out the leg length. Thank goodness I know just the doctor who can help with that! Dr. Lowe deserves 10 stars.

He saw me for a few minutes, asked me if I ate fish recently. I said yes and he immediately and unequivocally diagnosed Gout. Wow, just because I ate fish???? He said "if it quacks like a duck, it's a duck." He was so sure, based on what seems ridiculous basis, that it was gout. He even prescribed gout medicine. But, he also prescribed blood test to confirm. Recognizing this was odd, I did not pick up prescription. I took blood test and later that day, Kinghorn's office called and told me it was not Gout. That was it... except for billing of course. I received a nice fat bill for a quick and wrong diagnosis. Yup, if it quacks like a duck, it's a duck!! Kinghorn is a Quack for sure. Don't consider him. Worst Dr I have ever seen. He saw me after a trip to urgent care for a big toe that was broke in 3…read moreplaces and for a hairline fracture in the other foot. He told me to wear a boot for 4 to 5 weeks and if it still hurt to come back. A week later I called due to increasing pain in my foot and back at 10:00 AM and left a message on his assistance vm. By 3:00PM no one had returned my call, so I called back. The receptionist then left a message for Shari to call me. Right before 4:00 PM she called me back and said she would talk with the Dr. She called back and told me to do contrast soaks and to use Tylenol. I had previously told her that the Tylenol was not touching the issue, so I questioned how the soaks were going to help. She became flippant with me. At this point I am in tears due to pain and frustration and I told her that I needed a better solution. She scoffs and asks if she needs to talk to the Dr again, and I said yes. I explained that I needed some Ibuprofin that was stronger than store brand and that you can't take a bunch of 200mg Ibuprofin to make 800mg. I was not looking for narcotics. She called me back and said thatDr stands by what he told you and he said that if your backs hurts you should find a PCP to help with that. He knew that I just moved here. To get into a PCP as a new patient takes forever. He had total disregard for me. I wasn't looking for narcotics, just something to help the pain that is radiating up my back from the injury he is treating me for. I am going to be pursuing a formal complaint against him. He is the worst!
