The client agreed to this in advance. The person who referred me was also familiar with my terms and had previously paid the same travel fee without any issues. I took the time to travel to the site, review the project, and follow up professionally by sending my contract, insurance documents, and revised paperwork as requested. After all of this, the client refused to pay the agreed travel fee, claiming confusion about the scope of work. However, everything had been discussed and acknowledged beforehand. This situation resulted in a complete waste of my time. I conduct my work professionally and communicate clearly, but unfortunately, this client did not honor their agreement. Maddalone swore they were going to fix them, but never officially did, the ceiling continued to leak in my bedroom and the kitchen up until we moved out. In the backyard, the fence was rotting on the posts and kids were tearing it apart. Management did nothing. We were also told we would receive our deposit at the end of the month (30 days). We left the apartment in good condition and as clean as possible. 30 days later, no deposit. I was then told "end of the week" then "two days" and finally I threatened to take them to court in order to get our deposit. It was $30 short from when we paid an increase in the deposit to match the rent increase.

I was finally told their employee handling this went back to college but they would work on it. On 12/14/22, I paid $581.30 in advance for their services to finally begin. I was told this money would be used to serve the tenant and hire an attorney to represent me at court. After more weeks went by, I wasn't getting ANYWHERE. In February 2023 I called Matt and said cancel my entire case because they were not getting anything done. He apologized, said he would send me a paper refund check. It is now 3/15/23 and absolutely nothing. I even sent an email requesting my check status and they have not returned my call for that either. Do not do business with this company as they are not honest and have stolen my money. I will pursue this.

He gave us an exhaustive tour of the property in question, was exceptionally generous with his time, and if we had a question he did not know the answer to, (rare) he got the answer right away. He also put in a lot of time on our application, and made the process smooth, and painless. Our impression of him is that he is patient, kind, and very professional. If our re-location becomes permanent, he is definitely our first call when it is time to buy a house.

The person I talked to assured me that they could do the work in the time frame I requested. However, they never showed up. I sent a few texts and a voice mail to inquire if they were still coming because obviously if they weren't, I need to find someone else. They never answered me at all.
