They send me a new, different bill every few months asking for more money saying claims are still pending but per my insurance company the claims were all settled months ago. I called in November 2022 and was told I was paying off all the claims and everything was finalized but today I am looking at hundreds of more dollars in bills from them. I called today and all they want is more money, no exception for there incompetence and incorrect billing. I have no choice and no options but to keep paying so they do not send me to collections. Be careful if you see them. If a bill is wrong stop going in and find someone else!

Almost too many stories to tell…read morein this forum, but simple things like lost appointments (after my dad travelled 2 hours to be told they didn't have him in the system, yet had gotten a reminder about the appointment) to just now getting a call asking why he'd missed an appointment last week. 1) We'd been told his oncologist conferred with his GP and recommended 'stop treatments' so assumed his office would know to cancel appointments 2) Because of their history of bad communications, we called to cancel the appointments, but big surprise, they did not do so. Raises so many questions regarding his care and entry into hospice. Save yourself the frustration.

I had half my left lung removed, then chemotherapy. After I had a scan. I was declared Cancer free by Cancer Partners of Nebraska. At this time, I had chest pain which I notified my Oncologist. He was unconcerned referred to my family doctor. 6 months later I go in for another scan, I again inform my Oncologist of my chest pain. Again, unconcerned they scan me and declare again I'm cancer free. My pain continued 3 months later I now have a pain in my right hip. My doctor declares likely bursitis and sends me to therapy. Two months later I call my Oncologist office and tell them I suspicious since my pain doesn't go away. The staff notifies my Oncologist who reply's I have an appointment next month and I should come in as scheduled. This is my 6 months checkup. I'm in terrible pain and have trouble managing both my chest and hip. I'm often in tears and can't sleep because of the pain. My appointment finally arrives. I get scanned, again my oncologist reads the results and declares me cancer free. I insist he explains to me why my pain is not cancer. they do another scan a different one. I have cancer now he declares I have 12 months - 5 years if I'm lucky. They could have saved me! certainly not your advocate.

In the 4 weeks that she was at CountryHouse we noticed a measureable decline in her emotional state and her physical abilities. Boredom was her worst enemy, and she developed several disconcerting behaviorisms during her short stay there. The move has made a world of difference for her. Only one week at Independence House and we are seeing dramatic improvements in her moods, and the behaviorisms are subsiding. Augmenting her daily routine with PT and OT, my sister is regaining her strength and is no longer restricted to her wheelchair (Yeah!). Kudos to the staff at Independence House, whom we find engaging and endearing to the residents placed in their care. If you are searching for a memory care facility for a family member, don't be fooled by the appealing "brick and mortar" options out there - just because a place 'looks' like home doesn't mean it 'feels' like home. Take the time to observe the staff and their interactions with the residents. Then ask yourself... would I want to live here?
