Since I had not used Advanced Photo before, I was wary of the customer service and quality that I would receive from the owners. I cannot say enough good things about Herbert. He welcomed me to his business with warmth. Herb and Joe are absolutely fantastic! Such friendly people - they are warm and welcoming. I first found this studio when searching for a place to take photos for a German visa. Herb reviewed all the specifications and gave me a photo that met all the requirements. I had to go again to take some corporate headshots, again to specific guidelines. Both Herb and Joe reviewed these (over email), and took some trial shots BEFORE I showed up for my appointment to make sure everything looked good. That was really thoughtful of them. Herb took a bunch of photos and worked with me (very patiently!) to choose the right ones, and then did the necessary edits. His work is amazing! Herbert can do anything you need in photographic work! When my mother passed away recently I found a box of negatives from the 1920's and 30's. Obviously old and a large size, 3"x6", so I wasn't sure anything could be done with them. I had over 130 of them. Herbert could not only produce the photos but he worked on each one to 'sharpen' the images and made all of them the soft sepia tone that they would have been originally. Where applicable he made a cropped and edited version of the people a picture in addition to the full photo showing the homes, cars, etc. He did an amazing job! Such a treasure and he put them all on a USB flash drive so that I can share them with my children. He's wonderful to work with - I will be taking other old photographs that need restoration work to him as well. read more

I found a picture of my mom in her old bible. This was a true find!!! My mother did not like having her picture taken at all. The picture was of her and 2 other women, taken in 1946. It was in pretty bad condition. I found Advanced Photo doing a Goggle search. Herbert (the owner) was GREAT, explained the process and assured me they could remove the 2 women and just have my mom. Joe , who did the actual restoration, sent me the picture for approval. I actually cried. Wonderful job, I ordered 11 photos for my siblings and the older grands. In search of getting headshots I searched everywhere, I got referral to these guys from a competitor and took a chance with these guys. Happy I didn't get the competitor to do my headshots. What a great experience! I'm not familiar with the process in taking pictures for headshots, but Herbert explained the process with patience and did a great job with my headshots. Got my headshots back to review in a few days. Sat down with Herbert and he assisted with selecting the ones I wanted. All of the photos were great, but of course I had a budget. I was very impressed with Advanced Photo and Imaging. I had 1 recent picture taken of my boys that was an odd small size and they were able to enlarge and make copies. They are exactly and actually better then the original. I also had 2 old, small, poor quality original pictures of my mother and her siblings. 1 was from 1930 and another from 1947. They were able to enlarge and sharpen the pictures and make copies so I can give them to my cousins. I am so very pleased with the skill and expertise of Advanced Photo. These pictures are very valuable to me and are better than the originals. I will definitely be back with more old pictures of my family. I've been meaning to write ever since I worked with Herbert last summer to restore an old military photo of my husband's grandfather. He knew just what to do, and truly took the extra time to think through how best to bring a treasured image to life again. I absolutely loved the finished product, and I had it framed for my husband as a Father's Day gift last year. My husband and I both couldn't believe how a torn, decades-old photo that had been held together with tape could look so clean and brand new. It now holds a special place on the wall in our home. I have used Advanced Photo several times for passport and visa photographs - the results always look good and they crop and size everything perfectly for the different requirements by country. More recently, I decided to do a profile photo for business use. The photograph session took about 15 minutes and then Herbert walked me through the various pictures and helped me select the best shots. He showed me some of the digital enhancements he could make and we decided on the appropriate ones to use. The final product was delivered a couple of days later in color, black and white and cropped for both square and more traditional 5x7 framing. Great service and excellent final result. read more

I went to The FedEx/Kinkos place and asked if they did passport photos. They said yes, so I went back to my car and unloaded my two kids, and all their gear, went back in and they said "oh we don't do kid passport photos". UGH. But they did direct me to Advanced Photo and Imaging by giving me their flyer. I called and they said I could come by right then. The photographer got pics of both of my kids (4.3 years and 3 months) within a few seconds. He was very nice and professional. He gave me a discount on the price because my kids ended up getting the shorts within 2 frames each. He was knew the passport photo rules and whatnot and I thought he was great. read more

Advanced Photo and Imaging turned 120-year-old photos into clear images. I had over a hundred photos of ancestors and other family members for them to convert to 4x6 photos for an album. Some of the older photos were so faded, I had never seen a clear image of some of my family. Herbert, the owner, worked magic with his professional expertise. For the first time since the photos had been handed down to me, I saw a clear image of my grandmother when she was five years old in 1889 and the only childhood photo of my father when he was six years old in 1917! We took over 250 old family photos (some were from the 1920's) to Advanced Photographics; and this studio restored all beautifully and placed them on a flash drive. What a fabulous job Herbert and Joe did with three of my historic photos. They were in really bad shape. I was hopeful but concerned. Old fashioned customer service lives on at Advanced Photo. I needed to restore and print a 75 year old "large format" photo and initially contacted Herbert and Joe via telephone. They both took the time to understand my needs and showed genuine interest in helping me with this project. Had a very tough project to add my Kids to a photo of my mother-in-law who passed away from breast cancer 6 years ago. Joe did an amazing job on the project. Where possible the photos look seamless. The photos i gave him to work with were very tough yet they look fantastic. Joe and Herb's customer service and communication is also very much worth calling out.
