We were looking to repaint our house, full interior walls, ceilings, doors, etc. and a partial exterior paint job to touch up the walls after replacing all the windows and a door in the house. Since the company that painted our house multiple times in the past closed with the retirement of its owner, we were looking for another painter just as meticulous and quality oriented as the last. We generally get our referrals from friends, neighbors and a local neighborhood on-line forum. This is where we first learned of Liquid Oak Painting. As we researched the forum reviews and reviews from other sources, Liquid Oak emerged as the closest thing to the experience we were seeking. Other customers found Paul and the crews he works with to be quality oriented, easy to work with and collaborative during the process. Before going through the proposal process and verifying insurance coverages, we met with Paul and Fernando (the crew foreman on our job) to assess the scope of our job and establish the basis for a price quotation. They were thorough going over all of the repairs we required for preparation, the special requests I had to fix damages from the recent door/window replacements and where we did not want to paint. We were very comfortable working with Paul and Fernando. Our primary concerns about this job were our two house cats who have never been allowed outdoors, choosing a color pallet and figuring out how to live in our house through the commotion and clutter of a house-wide repaint. Paul and Fernando were very helpful and collaborative helping us come up with a work staging plan, a beautiful color pallet and a plan for the cats. The job proceeded smoothly, according to plan, with Fernando and his crew taking a genuine interest in our satisfaction with the work as the job progressed. Our house is quite old and a lot of the beams and sidings were not in good shape. Painting them involved replacing several sections or patching old work in order for the paint to adhere and look good. Miguel and his foreman expertly and independently solved each problem that came up, but brought options to me when necessary. Very clear and easy to work through. They really treated the work as if they were doing it for their own home. The end result is an incredible looking job that exceeded even my high expectations. We were especially pleased with Tiffany the included color consultant; as we were going from white to a darker blue and she really helped the process Our job was long, it took something like 14 days to complete fully, but Marlon led a great crew including Joshua and Victoria. They did a great job on the stucco and wood prep, and answered all of our questions and took care of all concerns. In particular all three did a fantastic job stripping the paint off of our original front door down to the original wood, which ended up looking a lot nicer than even buying a new one. When it was all said and done, we were super happy with how it turned out, and would not hesitate to recommend Super Painting to our friends.

Well, the stain on the fence didn't really last that long at all. Almost as if they didn't apply enough coats Cesar was quick to address this and we agreed to cover the material. I thought it was a reasonable compromise, more than reasonable in fact and highlighted the kind of business person Cesar is. Unfortunately, for the french door one of the issues they were hired to fix was to repair some warping that they advised could be fixed and repaint the surface. Which they did. Unfortunately, the area quickly showed signs that it wasn't fully repaired so Cesar sent someone to check it out and he agreed to repair it again. Unfortunately, he never sent anyone out to check it out again even though he agreed to. The door still has the issue. The other issue I mentioned to him was one of the fences. He advised that one section of fence that was painted on white and sealed would last for several years. Unfortunately within a year it started to crack. I let him know about it, he advised he would come out and check it but didn't. I followed up and didn't hear back. Today, about 1.5 years later the fence is literally peeling and needs to be completely repainted again far earlier than it should be. Maybe the two issues just happened to be rare challenging issues. Who knows, but what I do know is I have one issue I paid for that was never really fixed and another that I paid for that barely lasted a year before it started to deteriorate and now I need to invest in getting it repaired again.
