Unlike so many podiatrists, he is not in the business of pushing high priced custom orthotics with huge markups. He recommended orthopaedic socks, and over-the-counter orthotics that can be obtained at any number of stores, including Amazon. He prescribed an ointment for my feet to take down inflammation, and so far, after the first couple of weeks, the results have been remarkable. I will be following up with him in another couple of weeks and give an update to this review if there has been any change in my rating.

The reason I chose this particular clinic was to use the Biodex machine to increase my range of motion. It did not disappoint even tho I had to live outside of my home community for 2 months. I was told it is the only machine in Canada situated in a physio clinic. The Capilano staff from the front desk right through to other therapists and assistants are warm and welcoming. Arjun, my physio therapist was skilled and engaging while always focused on my recovery and increased range of motion. I highly recommend him. His assistant Ava was so kind and personable. As well as physio I utilized other gym equipment in addition to the Biodex. This included a treadmill developed by NASA that can reduce your weight for walking. Allie, the kinesiologist is helpful and engaging. When I have a second knee replacement in about 12 months, it will also be a complicated procedure. I will relocate to Edmonton once again just because of the gains I was able to achieve at Capilano. Thank you Arjun, Ava and Allie.

When I arrived in Edmonton, a family member recommended I contact Optimize Physiotherapy to continue treatment. I followed up and had two appointments with Aaron before I returned to Fort McMurray. He provided exceptional treatment and a rehabilitation protocol that I continue to follow. I believe his experience as a trained professional and an athlete is invaluable. I highly recommend this clinic to those in need of Physiotherapy. In addition, the clinic is smaller, and the staff don't seem to take on too many clients at one time. Free parking as well. Fast forward three months later, and I'm a bit sad my sessions are over! The reception staff are always welcoming (and easy on the eyes which is a bit of a selfish perk), and Alan (my therapist) was not only very fun to talk to, but very educational. Every session I left armed with more knowledge than I had before, becoming more and more able to identify my own pains and how to remedy them at home. All and all, a great recovery experience from what started as a sceptical and painful beginning point!

IMS) I found my current favourite physiotherapist back in 2018 after my previous massage therapist left practice, and she is FANTASTIC! Not a huge fan of acupuncture (bad experiences before) but for some bewildering reason I respond really well to IMS treatment like dry needling (Like the old Buckleys commercial "it hurts, and it works") Most of the time I go for needles it basically fixes my muscle issues like the next day (unless it's really bad maybe another treatment or 2) Man I'd be so messed up without this as a last resort when chiropractic or massage attempts fail to bring relief (the cons of being hyper flexible lol...) Coupled with some cupping therapy, heat packs and mobility stretching, they guide me back to my normal active disposition ‍ ‍ Highly recommend

I sustained an injury to my lower back and physical therapy was recommended. The owner came highly…read morerecommended and the convenience of close proximity to my work sealed the deal. To his credit, the owner was friendly and appeared knowledgeable while doing his assessment on me. However, the service all fell apart when he then delegated the work to his assistants-a collection of apathetic, 20 something undergrads who cared less about care than rushing though a demonstration exercise so that they can get back to their social media. The 'sweatshop' atmosphere of the therapist working with 15-20 patients simultaneously, didn't exactly put me at ease of getting hands on quality care. I also understood that the most important part of recovery was to do the recommended exercises prescribed by the care-provider independently. However, the generic exercises he gave me to do at home appeared to aggravate my injuries further. When I attempted to contact the therapist by phone to ask for guidance, I was told he would get back to me ASAP. He called 2 weeks after my initial call. By then, I was already involved with MOMENTUM Physiotherapy recovering nicely(See my review). To sum up, my experience was awful in that instead of receiving care for my injury, I was being processed like a piece of meat going through an assembly line, where squeezing as many people into a workspace supersedes actual care.
