Grounds Pro sent a crew out to inspect the system (we have a well for our sprinkler system) and "educate us" on the system. The gentlemen who are the face of Grounds Pro could not be nicer, patient or more knowledgeable. The crew just left this morning after getting our system up and running for the '23 season after being winterized (they do that too). At the end of last season we were having problems with a zone that was "pulsing". They promised to address at reopening, which they did. These workers spend a couple of hours working on getting our pump primed and checking all zones. They did not leave until everything was is perfect working order!!! I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Also the lady that answers the office phones is the sweetest. ** If you have a sprinkler system and want a reliable company taking care of you, call Grounds Pro, they will treat you like family.

However, after meeting with him, he was candid, very responsive to correspondences, knowledgeable and detailed with our inquiries. He was very informative throughout the process and provided better solutions than the other businesses for our upcoming lawn projects. After hiring Andy, he remained committed to making sure we were happy with each aspect of the work all the way until we did the final walk through. He continuously kept us informed of the schedule, and we appreciated that the yard was kept clean. We made an appointment for Friday, 5 September between 11.00 and 1130. I got a message at 10:48 on the that day saying he was held up on a job involving a well for drinking water. I understand that drinking water is more important that irrigation and let him know that I understood. He said he would swing by later in the day but never showed and never called saying he would not be able to make it. He reached out that night at about 8:30 apologizing and we rescheduled for 10 September between 3:30 and 4:00. Because it was urgent to get a operable pump going, I reached out to M&D Pumps on Saturday morning and ended up speaking with a nice man named Marc. He was there within an hour and had a new pump installed and running within 2 hours after my call. He was also a very pleasant man who was very knowledgeable. On 10 September, Malcolm again did not show and again, he never called to let me know. I sent him a text expressing my disappointment and asked if everything was ok . . . no response. I reached out a day or two later and have not heard back from him. So . . . based on my experience, if you are looking for someone who may or may not show up to work on your irrigation system by all means - GNC Pumps and Irrigation is your company, give Malcolm a call. If you are looking for a company that can work on your pump and will show up in a timely manner then I strongly recommend calling Marc at M&D Well and Pump at 757-718-6149. I ended up doing the irrigation work myself but I have three neighbors that recommended Joe Mallack Irrigation at (757) 615-0868. I'm sure there are other great irrigation companies but I cannot recommend calling GNC.

He helped locate the hidden valve boxes…read more(buried 20+ years ago ) and then helped change out the solenoids and wiring to help get this 20+ system back up and running. Several of the boxes were in hard to reach places (1/2 under an addition and one buried under a tree). Every challenge was met and he never lost his patience. I contracted with this company in May to construct a 6 foot by 6 foot fish pond. I was given…read morepictures of possible pond designs. The price was reasonable. The pond construction was not started until Sept. 5th. The boulders/ stones were huge and took up much of the interior of the pond. When I requested that smaller stones be used, the owner unilaterally cancelled the construction project, replaced my original pre-formed pond into my yard, and removed all of the materials. He kept my $1,971.50 deposit although he breached the contract and much of the costs incurred resulted from his company purchasing and attempting to use boulders that were inappropriate for a small pond. I am very disappointed in the high handed manner in which this matter was handled. Better communication about the intended products and exact design are needed.
