I can not recommend this company. They do not guarantee their work in any way. I had them repair a valve that had a slight leak in it. Their repair work subsequently failed maybe a week later causing a large leak that resulted in a $950+ water bill. The leak was buried in the control box so I didn't discover it until I received the bill. They said because it was a part that failed there would be no compensation. There are many irrigation companies out there ... I would strongly recommend going with someone else. read more

Finding competent residential irrigation service has not been easy, so I am happy to report my first encounter with Advanced Irrigation has been successful! My system involves a pump, pressure tank and 9 large zones, comprising many types of sprinkler heads and pot watering systems. It is a mature system so much can go wrong over the course of a year eg, broken heads clogged filters, cracked pipes. I probably could do most of the work (not the pump system!) myself if I had a day or two to devote to it - but......why dive into a frustrating project when Advanced's talented service team can accomplish perfection in one or two hours!? They're busy servicing their long time clients so call early to get on the calendar. read more

First thing I did when I moved into this house was to use the lawn mower to "remove" a couple sprinkler heads. The system had been shut off, the owner said it worked, but it wasn't a priority to get it going as a busy schedule dictated other things. I finally made a call to advanced irrigation, and with their busy schedule the appointment was a couple of weeks out. The tech showed up on time, which I highly value, was courteous and professional. I explained I knew where the shutoff valve and controller locations where, but nothing other than that as to if or how it worked. He quickly checked the valve, turned it on, and started testing the zones. There were sprinklers popping up in locations I had no idea they were in after living here for over 3 years. I asked about a more modern controller, and he gave me a recommendation for a WiFi controller unit I could purchase from Amazon, then went about his job replacing the broken heads and adjusting the others. I am very pleased with the service, knowledge and professionalism of the gentleman from Advanced Irrigation and I would recommend them to anyone with a home sprinkler system. read more

Botched backflow testing, weeks to get any service, and poor communications. Advanced does not have the staff to handle any new customers. For irrigation services, such as backflow inspection and sprinklers winterization, they are doing a great job. However, they are not letting you schedule the service to any particular day, there is no commitment as to when the service will be performed. They decide on the fly when to perform it. They may do the work with substantial delay - past due for backflow inspection, and sprinklers winterization in late December after many days of freezing temperatures and snow, thus, compromising your irrigation system. read more

Thought I would at least call for a bid. Took 3 calls to get a return call to try to set up an appt Then nothing, no return call the next day to set up appt. They must not want new business, why would I use a company to install new system on a half acre when they can't even return calls or set up bid appt. read more

They came today to do the backflow testing. However, they did much more they discovered areas that were being over watered and areas being under watered and fixed them. I call this exceptional customer service. I would recommend them as outstanding and do things above and beyond what is expected. Good customer service by those on the front line. read more

Jeff installed my well and irrigation system before I bought the house. He has been extremely helpful and friendly to work with when problems have arisen. He not only solved any problems but has gone above and beyond and helped me find a solution for the rust from the well As well as figure out some other things with my yard. Advanced Irrigation is an irritating organization which provides mediocre service. They typically give less than 48 hours notice for our semi-annual service calls, are unable to provide better than a 4-hour target for appointments, miss problems during regular maintenance, and have a difficulty keeping their records in order. (It took repeated calls over more than a year to persuade them to change our billing contact.) They're exquisitely courteous and apologize graciously for mistakes (no doubt they get lots of practice). In my experience of some years, the only thing they do well is send a bill. I'd drop them in an instant given a superior option, but have had no luck finding a Seattle company interested in dealing with a small installation such as ours. AI gets the job done, more or less, but they aren't a pleasure to work with. read more

I never write reviews about businesses, but I picked this company based on positive reviews, so I only think it's fair to warn future suckers like me. Had an appointment a month ago for the technician to give my sprinkler system a "spring tuneup." The employee came out and I couldn't understand a word he was saying and he didn't properly diagnose the problem with my system. Kept telling me that the well didn't provide enough pressure, when upon cursory examination myself, that wasn't the case. After frustrating miscommunication he promised to send the boss. Then the waiting began. I waited for contact for several days but nobody followed up. I emailed their "service manager" and she didn't respond. I called their "service manager" and she promised to email Don and get back to me by the end of the day. Didn't happen. Called her again, still no response. Finally she offered me an appointment with the boss man while I was driving in my car and I grabbed it, not knowing if I'd get another chance. Unfortunately (and this was my mistake), I needed to reschedule after getting home and checking my appointments for that day. I called back and talked to the other "scheduler" and she promised to contact Don and get back to me that day. Didn't happen. I called back and asked her to call him on his cell phone. She told me that she was instructed not to call him during the day because he was "out in the field." By this time you can imagine that I was speaking admittedly pointedly at the staff. I asked her if she could set something up on Don's schedule but she said they weren't allowed to do that without his say so-- (I feel bad that the employees are in the position to not be able to schedule clients and also not reliably contact their boss.) Anyway, finally I demanded his personal email because their communication system was so screwed up. I sent him a very pointed email about getting this service taken care of (it's now been almost a month and the grass is all dead anyway). His response was "sometimes in business parties just aren't a good fit, and I think this is the case, so I'll cancel your bill." The first time I ever heard from the boss man was to dismiss my complaint--didn't even try to provide satisfaction or remedy the situation. Anyway, I've got to look for someone to repair my sprinklers again. Wish I would've read a review like this before. Oh, and I told Don that I would be writing a negative review. He told me that if I did, he'd call me a racist. I guess that's because I complained about not being able to communicate with his employee. As I see it, if you send someone out for a service call, they should be able to understand your requests. I'm sure that he'll rigorously write a response as he promised. Maybe I just caught their company at a busy time when the service was strained. I would at least suggest that you request to speak with the owner personally before committing to this company to ensure that he's gonna be there for you if you need his personal involvement. Sorry so long. I'm not going to check this posting again or further engage in a debate in this forum. Take my observations for what they're worth. read more

We called in with an irrigation "pump" that had stopped working (therefore not watering our lawn or flower beds) during a busy time - sunny summer in Seattle....(read as green grass will quickly turn to irreversible brown). With no concrete date for service set.....just that they would hopefully be able to get to us within a week.....Don, one of the owners appeared in my backyard the next day! Of course I was delighted to see him, and he walked me through how to remedy the issue. Don, the pump actually ended up priming itself later that eve when my husband came home and we talked about what needed to be done. Voila, the line cleared itself and we are on to greener pastures! Today Antonio came to tweak our system after we added some new landscaping features. He made suggestions as to what kind of sprinkler heads would do what we needed done. He made me aware of a new type of head that fit the bill exactly. He was courteous, punctual and neat. He obviously knows his stuff! I am 100% satisfied. We have been (trying to) use this company for about a year since we bought a large property. We have 26 zones on our property. No matter how much I beg, and explicitly say I need them to stay for more than an hour or two, they will not schedule me for longer. I have to call three, four, four, five times to get them to come out and then they leave without finishing the job and I have to fight all over again to get them to return. I've had a broken pipe for three months that I've been waiting and waiting for them to return and fix. All the landscaping in that zone has died, costing me thousands of dollars. STILL WAITING FOR A CALL BACK, DENA! My last conversation consisted of me BEGGING her to schedule me for long enough for them to finish the job and her saying that would mean a WHOLE DAY and they don't do that. So if this is the kind of company you want to deal, that doesn't want your business, then by all means call! read more
