He hung up on me and then lied on patient portal that I hung up on him, also saying "he hoped I would call back". So unprofessional! No one reached out to me on complete report. No arrangement for continuity of care was arranged -- this is abandonment and a suable offense. I was just left hanging. Dr. Barry Kaplan is no better. They are not human at Queens Medical Associates. It's just a cancer treatment factory that is archaic and only cares about their bottom line profit. Swaika all you had to do is apologize but instead you have HURT me and caused me inordinate stress on top of all the hurt others in the medical profession have caused me. You BETTER PRAY that no medical harm has come to me from leaving me hanging! Be careful not to pull this shit on anyone again, because they may not be as nice as me.

As a Northwell employee, this place turns me off compared to other Northwell offices I been to. For…read moreone, it's hard to get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment or ask a question. When you get to the front desk, all the workers are just huddled chatting about nonsense while one person is checking patients in. When the nurse took me back to the patient room to meet with my doctor, I noticed that they leave the doors open when dealing with patients and talking to us. I had to ask her to close my door when discussing my business. In my appointment, which was on a Friday, I was told that I needed iron IV treatments and that I would be called the following week to schedule my appointments. I waited and waited and no phone call. So on the following Monday I called them to ask about this IV treatment I need because I'm 29 weeks pregnant so it's important I get the ball rolling on this. Surprisingly someone picked up! And I start explaining to her that I was supposed to receive a phone call and I didn't. She gets my DOB and sees my chart and says "oh yeah you're approved, let's get you scheduled. He actually wanted you to come in today." WHEN WERE YOU PEOPLE GONNA CALL ME TO TELL ME THAT THESE TREATMENTS WERE APPROVED BY MY INSURANCE AND I WAS SUPPOSED START RIGHT AWAY?! So had I not called, no one would've called me to make this appointment. I found that very irritating. Especially since I need these treatments for my health and the health of my baby. On top of the fact that I'm always tired because of my low iron so these treatments could help me.

I've been searching for a new primary care doctor since my previous one said that my insurance…read moredoesn't pay enough (HIP). Sigh. Good doctors are hard to find. Dr. Cheung can easily be booked through ZocDoc and you can submit your health history through their online forms. When I got there. The receptionist is very competent and nice. The nurses there are also nice and informative. I found Dr. Cheung himself quite distant and only gave the minimal required amount of time. Bedside manner was okay and he really didn't really seem concerned about my foot pain (disregarding it to strenuous walking, though I still have that pain 2 weeks later). I couldn't remember what to tell him, so talk time was over and I was ushered to the nurse for shots. When I finally remember, he is already off to the next patient. Solution? Get some referrals to see better doctors. Maybe I should switch to PPO. No more referrals! I went back two weeks later for a follow-up. He seem irritated at me and ask him if I needed more referrals.

The young 20ish obviously inexperienced doc gave me a prescription for allergies though I explained her clearly that I got a cold. Of course, the med doesn't help at all. I visited a pharmacy again for cold med and cured my cold. The most exciting part is...I visited them last November 2017. They just sent me a check in May asserting that I owned them the fee. They didn't check the insurance plan effective date and just found out they did not accept my insurance.
