He was personable, professional, very courteous, communicative, and efficient. Truly, Plato's idea of an electrician. The cost the service call was incredibly reasonable! Frankly, I was shocked at how low my bill was. You can bet that I will call "Down the Road Electric" the next time I need electrical services.

I was shocked when they told me that after the services were provided, they paid 1,000 dollars to fix one kitchen outlet! I should have told my neighbors to ask for a quote before scheduling so I take responsibility for that, but never did it occur to me that the price would be so high for one outlet! Is this the going rate for outlet repair or was this an opportunity to rip off the elderly?

Frustrated, I asked to talk to the owner of the company, and as quick as I asked, she immediately replied with, "I AM THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY!" A quick google search proved that wrong, so now she lied. I have never in my life wrote a negative review about any company but I will tell you, I could not in good conscience recommend this company nor will I ever use them again. The way I was treated was down right abusive and inappropriate. In my opinion, that woman is a detriment to the company. Maria R.

Nightmare for us with billing inaccurately, communication, and follow up…read more Inaccurate bill was paid in full by check-debited from our account but after BBB complaint filed they filed paperwork with the state of Iowa to put a lien on our home-keep in mind they had the money for services that were billed incorrectly fourteen days prior! Questionable across the board business practices with billing, follow up, and resolution of problems. We were told we are to get a partial refund for inaccurate billing. The "lien" paperwork was also removed. When I contacted the state regarding the lien they suggested retaining a lawyer to deal with the company-all for a faulty light sensor that was not fixed, just a diagnosis! I contacted the Attorney General of Iowa for further assistance in this matter. On their website they have 5 star reviews-I would suggest google, BBB, and Yelp prior to hiring!
