Billing never answered phone on first attempt. Phone rang for well over minute a straight . There was no voicemail or anything set up for missed calls, or to leave a message or call back number
Called back immediately thinking maybe I dialed the incorrect number. I did not.
Representative from billing hung up on me when I called to VERY KINDLY AND POLITELY dispute a PAID co-pay of $50 ( statement from my bank confirmed payment).
Payment was delayed due to not being in-state at time bill was received.
Once I got back to the state, retrieved my mail, I went to the office to make payment. I was told this is incorrect. I should never be paying the bill at the office and I should have made payment via phone and that's why it didn't show up as paid and THAT'S why my bill was submitted to collections .
Then she just flat out, hung up on me. Ok, note to self, don't attempt to pay bill in person
Olivia was her name. Maybe she was just having a bad day.. in any case someone should look in to improving customer service when it comes to the billing department. it all about explaining to customers, in a KIND and NONAGGRESSIVE way, what caused this issue and APOLOGIZE that this happened. I WAS THE ONE TURNED OVER TO COLLECTIONS ! FULL STOP!
The other person that took over, when I called back (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) , should be given Kudos . She handled everything as it should've been handled from the beginning.
