I can not say enough good things about the Commack NY practice. I was treated by this practice for stage two melanoma, for acne, and for botox treatments. Each and every doctor I've been fortunate enough to encounter has been kind, understanding and put my mind at ease. This is a fantastic practice that can service all dermatology and cosmetic needs. Being new to the area, I am thankful to have found them. I often see the assistant Tatiana on my visits. She is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable as well. Great practice. I decided to make an appointment at the parkchester office. The reason I wanted to go to this location was to see a particular doctor. I scheduled my appointment to see one doctor and was told the doctor would be there. When I arrived I heard the receptionist tell another patient Dr. Bloom would see the patient. I figured ok the office is big maybe there are other doctors here as well. I walked in with the medical assistant, she was nice. She ran though the whole medical history and why I'm here for my visit. I spent more time with the medical assistant than with the doctor. He walked in gave me a few words about my problem, he did not look at my face at all. A total of 5 minutes with him by the way was not the doctor I wanted to see. Never again. I'm calling my insurance company to see what he charges my insurance for because he did nothing!!!! read more

I first went here with my daughter when she was only a year old. She was diagnosed with eczema and given a medication that was not appropriate for her age.The second time was about a month ago when I had what seemed to be a rash on my face. I waited for about 40 minutes to then be seen by a doctor for only 5 mins. I was diagnosed with rosacea given a prescription and asked to buy a cleanser they make that cost $25. I payed for the cleanser and a co-pay with my debit card. These people billed my insurance with the cost of the visit, the cleanser and the co-pay. This made so upset how they tried to scam the insurance company and subsequently acaming me because the insurance didn't paid for it and Advanced Dermatology Associates is now billing me for a service that I already paid for. To say I am appalled is an understatement. I would not recommend this place. read more

Not coming back here again, first off I got here early for my appointment and when I was suppose to get called in, they only call by 1st name and called the wrong person in instead of me , waiting over an hour in the treatment room for a doctor is not cool. There is many more doctors around the city. We have been recommended by our primary doctor. They have many restriction most one is bad behavior. Firstly front desk receptionist don't know how speak with patient. She is most rude and unprofessional. Either you go or you can chose more professional dermatologist nearby you. Thanks. read more

My appointment was at 3pm I arrived 30mins earlier to fill out paper work because my daughter is a new patient. After 40/50 minutes they called us and put us in a room. An hour and a half goes by and nothing. My 8 year old daughter fell a sleep and all. Finally I said enough (which I should of said something sooner) I asked the nurse how much longer and she said "doctor is with a patient there's one after then you" so I told her I wanted to cancel because the waiting time was too long. She said "okay". No "sorry, we're running behind" or anything. I work for a doctors office and when we're running late I explain to the patient that we are running a bit late and sorry for the inconvenience or something. Anyways my overall experience was terrible, a waste of time and money. read more

Patients please beware: I took the day off from work to go to my appointment at advanced dermatology in parkchester today. Appt was at 5:15pm and my train( 6 train) was delayed due to rain. Arrived at office at 5:25pm and older latina receptionist was finishing with patient. I apologized for lateness and advised her I am 5:15 Appt. She then she began to ramble about their system being slow and doctor was tired and will not be seeing me today. No apology for the inconvenience or offer to reschedule! Nada! I asked is there no grace period? She stated she would speak to doctor. Returned after 2 mins and said no. This place is clearly run by despicably rude and inconsiderate people. I've never heard of any doctor who wouldn't see a BRAND NEW patient because of 10 mins late. I have been waiting for this appt for 3 weeks. Patients don't make appts for pleasure but because they are concerned about their wellbeing. You will not find anyone at this facility who is concerned about their patient's wellbeing. This was proven today. Thank God I did not have to do business with them. I do admit I read the other reviews this morning and still spent my time and money traveling there against my better judgement. FOOL ME ONCE... read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have never written a review but my experience was so terrible, that I had to write one as soon as I got home. First of all, I waited around 20 minutes in the room for the doctor to even come in and see me. I had prepared a list of concerns and was hoping he would allow me to address them. (Although,that was extremely naive of me considering that the doctors (or rather the PAs) spend no more than 5 minutes with each patient.) Anyway the PA Christopher Palines finally comes in with a nurse (who doesn't introduce herself). He takes one look at me and says acne came back? I told him it had never gone away. He then rushes me through my explanation and decides he going to put me on a higher dose of the medication I'm on. He doesn't even give me a chance to tell him how my skin is not tolerating what was prescribed earlier. Fine I think, let me move on to other concerns. I mentioned dry patches on my arms and ask him if he thinks they are eczema. He tells me I should invest in better lotion. Finally he tells me I have some other skin condition after showing him the burns that the previous prescription had left behind. He then reaches for the door about to leave. Mind you, I barely got a chance to even touch on my other issues. When I bring this up, he then tells me that he can only listen and make 2-3 diagnosis per visit. Lol I really couldn't believe he would even admit something like that. I wasn't even given a proper summary at the end on how to use the new prescription. Thank you advanced dermatology for confirming that the only reason you see patients is not to treat them or alleviate their ailments but instead to collect cash. Your practice is ridiculous, thank you for wasting my time. I used to depend on your practice for my skin care but clearly your service has gone down the drain and it is time to move on. I will definitely advise everyone against going to these money hungry assholes. read more

This place has no answers doctor took care of me 1 week the week after he tells me he wasn't the one that took care of me like really doc they have to do better they cut me twice and it's a year later I still have no answers on what's going on with me when he results came back they said I had lupus I fat tissue then he states I have nothing now today I'm at another doctor to try to find out what's going on in my body since advance couldn't help me 0 stars read more

This clinic is a joke, the staff are rude and will spend the entire time gossiping with outsiders while ignoring the patients waiting to register. Then they talk about the patients with other staff, and they will stare you down when you catch them looking thinking they're intimidating you. The doctors don't run the clinic the front desk young woman does. Never again I would rather go to manhattan where I know drs won't allow this and the staff are friendly. read more
