Finally, after trying to let it run it's course, it became too painful to bear any longer! I called Family Dental at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday, asking if they could see me that day. Their answer? Come now! Wow! That impressed me. Anyway, long story short, Dr. Jeff Wechsler saw me immediately, confirmed my (own) diagnosis, took precautionary X-rays just in case, and gave me a few mouth rinses to ease the pain while it heals. He was courteous, professional and very easy to talk to. A refreshing change from most dentists! I happily have found a new dentist and the best part is that he's only right down the road from me! I had doctor Perrino do my extractions (all 4) and I really felt listened to and in good hands. He called to check in after my surgery which wasn't expected but very nice to receive. When I called a week and half after my surgery I was able to schedule a follow up (no charge) and he provided advice and stretching exercises when I came back in after I expressed concern about my locked jaw. My nurse Jasmin (I believe her name was) was also a real help when I came out from anesthesia. Hannah is at the desk to handle financials when you finish your consultation /surgery and I appreciated her insight and transparency when it came to the cost. From my experience, I would definitely recommend this office.

I called Dr. Sung Hee Cho's office at Riverside Oral Surgery on 11/13/23 for an appointment. They…read moreconfirmed that Dr. Cho took my insurance as an in network provider and I was given an appointment for 11/28/2023. On 11/14/23 the receptionist left a voicemail to discuss payment prior to my visit. When I called back I was informed by the receptionist that because I was seeing Dr. Cho for a "syndrome", Dr. Cho told the receptionist I would be denied in network benefits and I would be required to pay $350 for an initial consultation. I confirmed with the receptionist that patients who did not see Dr. Cho for a "syndrome" would be entitled to in network benefits. I was told that Dr. Cho would keep my appointment for 11/28/23 if I paid $350 in cash instead of affording me the ability to use my in network benefits. I will be reporting Dr. Cho to my insurance company and to the Attorney General's office. It is stressful enough to have a rare condition and a "syndrome". Dr. Cho could have easily stated that he does not treat my condition of Ernest Syndrome. However, he chose to still see me and take advantage of a patient trying to get out of pain for $350.

Due to a clerical error, Horizon Blue did not include my husband on my dental insurance but promised to fix it asap and sent over a proof of coverage. The dental office refused to accept it and after a week I stayed on the line with Horizon Blue so their representative can inform the dental office on what has transpired and also promised to fix it within 24/48 hours. Unfortunately, the dental office continued to refuse to work with us despite the call and the proof of coverage letter and on the day of the surgery informed us that we need insurance or cancel. we have had no choice but to cancel an emergency dental appointment. Very disappointing considering the great reviews. It is rather disheartening to listen to the hold music and announcement touting their "flexibility" for those uninsured when an actually insured person can't even get the appointment.
