Without question the best bike shop in Central Florida. After several years "off the saddle" I decided it was time to get back on the game! After visiting several bike shops in the area, I found out my friend and former co-worker had opened Advanced-Cycles with his partner Laz. The first time I walked into the shop, as I started to walk around, I was greeted by Laz with "Good morning sir, how are you? Let me know if you need any assistance."No pressure, no arrogance, no attitude, no looking down on me, just simply giving me space and time to check the place out. Wow, what a difference from the other shops!!! After several minutes of looking around, I approached Laz and proceeded to "bombard him with questions." Mind you he still did not know, at the time, who I am or that I am a good friend of his partner. Laz was so professional and polite and with the patience of a saint. He answered all my questions and concerns accurately and truthfully ( I'll be honest, I did ask him some tricky questions to test his knowledge and accuracy) he passed with flying colors! But what really blew my mind is while Laz and I were chatting a few other customers walked in and required different services, such as flat repairs, cassette installations, gear,chains, brakes adjustments, etc. The staff is so efficient! They handled all these other customers without skipping a beat (customers with adjustment issues or in need of advice were not charged). I never witness such quality of customer service before! In my experience, many shops will charge you $10.00 to install a cassette and $15.00 for a gear or brake adjustment, these are customers who did not so much as purchase an energy gel from the shop! What a way to show somebody they appreciate your business. Eventually, I did let Laz know I am a good friend of his partner and I thanked him. I told him how impressed I was. He simply replied with a smile and said "This is the way we treat everybody! You're more than just a potential customer you are family and a friend." Excellent customer service, price, and quality. I didn't buy my Softride from Advanced Cycles but Jose did a Retul fit and it does feel like a new bike. I will start by saying this is my second Retul fit on this bike and it was night and day between the two. My first was in Atlanta with former pro cyclist but he never took the time to fit me he just got me into specs for what the program said a triathlete needed to be in. Keep in mind I have done a full ironman, 100 mile rides and made half ironman world championships on this bike but I never felt right on it. I could suffer thru a 112 mile ride but couldn't stay in the areo position for more than a mile at a time. Jose took the time to adjust everything and it took some time this bike is not easy to adjust but with his knowledge of Retul and my knowledge of the bike and what I was trying to achieve we got a great result. Proof is in the numbers all training ride were faster and my first race two weeks after the fit I won first overall with a PR by over 12 minutes in a two hour race. If you are serious about your races or just have a nice bike and want to get the most out of it you need a Retul fit. read more

I had gone to another bike shop yesterday. I paid $50 for a tire. Last night I went biking and it was obvious there was something very wrong. I returned to the other bike shop. The staff got mad that I questioned the tire, actually picked up my bike and threw it down then followed me out of store. I then called Advanced Cycles. I brought my bike there at 4:30 pm. The bike mechanic told me he could fix it, how much it would cost and told me I could pick it up tomorrow. Because of surgeries I like/need to bike everyday. The mechanic saw how upset I was and said if you wait, I can fix it now. AND HE DID. I was able to ride my bike tonight. In the middle of COVID-19 pandemic, and with my health issues, I really needed my old bike to get my daily exercise. Advanced Cycles made it possible. Thank you to the staff. Great shop I first went in to get a heart rate monitor for my 920xt Jose helped me and even through they were out of stock at the time he took one out of a bundle to sell me without me even asking. I had my eyes one a new bike anyway but after the service I got from Jose I knew I would buy my next bike from Advanced Cycles. After talking with Laz , Jose and both bike techs and a few test rides I got 2015 BMC Slr02 they put together and tuned bike I could not be happier with the performance very comfortable bike eats even the worst chip seal with ease almost no road chatter to the rider. I paid for the retul fit which is half price when you buy a bike from them your crazy not to do it! CRAZY Pay $3 grand for a bike and ride around with sore knees, numb hands and pain in your lower back after long rides NOT me. The most comfortable I have even been on a bike ever in my 32 years on this earth. read more

After searching for the past few weeks for a good bike and excellent service I finally made contact with a store that is a great mixture of business and the love of sport. I understand that businesses need to make money, but as someone who is just looking at getting into road cycling I didn't come across too many stores that are excited about getting people on the road. Laz and his team definitely went the second mile to give me a great experience in buying a bike and learning basics in setting up to hit the road. I am so thankful for all they have offered me. They have made me confident and excited about cycling and have made my year through their great service and product. I have read some of the reviews and shocked at the comments. There is so much focus on the subjective and no mention on the quality of the bikes and the knowledge of the workers. These people know the cycling world and love helping their customers. My husband and I buy all of our biking gear - including my latest Cervelo from Advanced Cycles - and have always been treated with great service-by everyone there. Juan and Las know their stuff and go out of their way to make sure that we have what we need to get ready for our races. In fact Juan just fitted me with the retul and my ride has never felt better and more efficient-highly recommend if you are looking for a real bike fit. They also host a weekly Friday morning "no Drop" ride from their place and welcome anyone to join. So if you want to buy your bikes from people who know cycling this is the place to go. read more

They are everything you need in a bike shop. I have bought two new bikes there and I have had several other bikes serviced there that they did not sell to me. I get the same treatment every time. Great knowledge and experience in a small locally owned business. I feel like I get a good value and honest information on products. I do not always like to hear it, but I respect the willingness to advise me with their honest opinion rather than tell me what I want to hear to make a sale and earn more $. They do not have the size or selection of a larger store, but they more than make up for it with personal service and caring for the customer. Laz has been taking care of me for 10+ years. Great bike racer, all around cool guy, and runs an exceptional shop. Carries all the pro products and great products for recreational riders. Staffed with excellent people, including Shawn Feynick in the shop, they go the extra mile. Casual and friendly place, too. Came in for a repair diagnostic. They were very upfront and truthful regarding the repair and suggested that the bike not be fixed due to safety issues.
