For months I have been planning to have the carpet removed and hardwood flooring installed in my…read moreolder 50's era home. Unfortunately during the job, it was discovered that the 1/2" sub-flooring was damaged (previously or during the job). I chose to have it replaced, and while the contractor did replace it, they chose a thickness (between 1/2" to 3/4") by mistake. This resulted in the obvious "ridge" that can be seen in the pictures below. Now I was in a situation where, I'm facing either living with what feels like a "small rug" buried under my beautiful hardwood flooring OR pull it up and address the sub-floor height difference. You may be asking: how does Jason (BPS Southeast Flooring) fit in? During this hectic situation, I was looking for SOMEONE that I could TRUST to give me solid advice on the situation and my options. Specifically someone OTHER than the contractor who did the original carpet demo / flooring install. Jason delivered exactly the guidance I was looking for and more. He is extremely knowledgeable and serious about his profession (all things flooring including hardwood). He drove a total round trip of 1 hour, and showed up 20 minutes early. There was no sense that he needed to "sell" me on anything in particular, he only was there to give his opinion on the options and he did exactly that. Even his consulting fee was extremely reasonable (so much so that I doubled it in light of the value of the information and guidance I received). While I cannot attest to the actual "install job quality" that can be garnered from BPS Southeast Flooring (I have not hired them to install any flooring as of this review) , I feel VERY confident in continuing to do business with him for all my flooring needs now and in the future. And since I will be continuing this job myself, I will be purchasing any further flooring material from BPS Southeast Flooring in the future.

Marvin is a true artist, he loves wood and works magic with a sander. He's reliable, a rare character trait in a tradesmen but he actually arrives when he is scheduled and finishes when scheduled. He's extremely knowledgeable, which is most helpful when deciding timing of refinishing given variations in temperature and humidity in our area. He's also fair and worth every penny you'll spend. At the end of 2024, my husband and I decided to replace the carpet in our ground floor rooms. We…read moreliked our existing but worn-out carpeting and sought to find something similar. Thus began an effort that lasted about 9 months. Separately, we each visited some vendors and found them polite, but we weren't getting anywhere, and frankly, most didn't have a great selection and didn't seem to understand what we wanted. And then, I visited All About Flooring and initially looked through a vast amount of samples, and took home many, their selection is very good, but still wasn't making progress until the owner, Becky Griffith, noticed my disappointment and decided to become involved. She took on the challenge. Becky was relentless in attempting to help us find the right carpet. She finally contacted some of her carpet reps and showed them a piece of our old carpet. And, Bingo... they came up with a sample that was acceptable in geometry, but the color was not. Not an obstacle for Becky. She arranged for another sample with colors more to our liking. And, finally...success! The carpet was ordered and installation was scheduled. Installation was somewhat difficult and problematic and a few things had to be reinstalled. Not an issue for Becky. She even came to our house with the man who did her measuring to discuss a solution and to make us comfortable and as she said, "I want you to be happy". Her crew, Matt and Levi returned several times to "to make things right" without complaint. All About Flooring went the extra mile...actually, it was more like 1,000 miles to satisfy us, and I can sincerely say, I think you should not hesitate to use them for your flooring.
