And it should be noted that this review probably has more to do with State Farm itself than it does the Kollar agency. Having said that, however, I'm very happy that I have now cancelled my insurance and found another very reliable insurance company, with a very considerable savings on my annual insurance cost in the process. Background: A year ago I wrote a very positive review about my experience with State Farm. I had been in an accident where I was not at fault and I received payment for my car, less the $1,000 deductible, very quickly. I was very impressed with both State Farm and the Kollar agency. However, I had to wait over a year and a half to be refunded my deductible. And not once during that time did the agent's office reach out to me - I had to consistently follow up. The accident was in April of 2023; I received the refund of my deductible in September of 2024. That's the first complaint. Next, I have auto payments set up with State Farm through my credit card company, which has always worked smoothly. However, in August of this year, there had been some problems with fraudulent activity on that credit card, and when the payment request for State Farm was received, it was declined. This was on August 21st. On August 23rd, TWO DAYS after the payment was declined, I received a CANCELLATION NOTICE of my insurance from State Farm. As soon as I learned what had happened, I contacted the Agent's office to provide my payment on that same day - the 23rd. Going forward, I continued to use auto payments, but my insurance premium in November increased dramatically and I decided I would finally seek other coverage. I found a company that came very highly recommended and sent a notice to State Farm to cancel my insurance with them. Unfortunately, the auto payment to State Farm for the following month was already in process and I was unable to cancel it. I requested a refund of the amount - which I am still awaiting.....10 days later. Amazing that State Farm can move incredibly quickly when THEY want to cancel something....2 days....but are far slower when refunding monies. Customer Service is not their strong suit.
