Because I see so many requests for "where to go for car repairs"...I have to tell you...without a shadow of doubt...go to Big O's in Sellersberg!!!! I had an emergency today...at McDonalds, my car wouldn't start. Son left work to come jump start my battery. I drove straight to Big O's in Sellersburg to get a new battery. BUT...they tested my battery, it was good. (average cost for battery is now $100+). They said next culprit could be the alternator. I asked cost....quote was right at $700. They Said, let us do a diagnostic on it. They did...and guess what!!!... It WASN'T the alternator...it was the battery in the key fob, which he came back to the counter with the key fob already fixed...and that cost was $4.00!!! PLEASE NOTE: 1. He verified the problem, even though I came in asking for a new battery. 2. He told me the TRUTH about my diagnosis. 3. He told me the next logical step & quote for price, and VERIFIED (not assume) if that WAS actually the problem! 4. He told me the TRUTH that this expensive repair was not the problem 5. He found the ACTUAL problem, fixed the problem, and told me the TRUTH about what was needed to repair my problem! I can't tell you how wonderful and comfortable I feel, as a woman, about going to Big O's in Sellersburg for my car repairs!! They don't talk down to me, they don't lie to me, they don't fix things that don't need to be fixed, they don't over charge me...they just do their job the way they should and treat you with respect and honor you as a customer! I use "quick lube" styled oil establishments for one reason; convenience. The big plus to using these is because they also check my other fluid levels. Not this place. They took they effort to inform me my brake fluid was 37% low, but for some reason could not top it off for me. Wiper washer fluid was low and not topped off either. So now I'm forced to stop at Walmart to purchase a $2 quart of DOT 3 brake fluid, and wiper washer fluid. Not convenient. SMH, come on guys, get it right....
