I felt so proud showing my husband around the beautiful campus, there is really nothing like stepping onto the quad for the first time and seeing the columns and Jesse Hall. When you're a student, it's hard to appreciate how special it is, but coming back and seeing it for the first time in a longtime, I felt incredibly proud to be a graduate. I showed him around some of my favorite spots on campus including speakers circle, the student center, and greektown. I had the best time at Mizzou -- there really is no place like it! M-I-Z! The vibe & conviction for me here is that HLGU already values my girl as a soul, athlete, student, and a priceless family member. Does it get any better than that? The campus is open, set in a decently sized Midwest town. It appeals to my minimalist views. My daughter was especially impressed by their library and its amenities, and of course the books. The student activities seem well placed & planned. Security staff, cameras & reasonable curfews are duly noted. The most common complaint tends to be that the rules are too strict; however, they are not outside the norm for a private, Christian institution. These rules are very clear from the beginning of the application process, yet many students seemed surprised by the handbook. Personally, I could not have asked for a more engaging student body or excited staff of professors. Another point of note is that because it is a small campus, you get know nearly all of the people with a fair amount of intimacy.

It's been two years since our son's surgery and they still haven't got a clue on their own insurance that was supposed to cover the cost of his recovery.
