I was getting several estimates and wasn't able to meet Jake for our initial consult because of traffic, so he did the consult by phone. He even jumped onto the roof and placed temporary patches up so we wouldn't get any more damage if it rained. This was before we had even hired him. After reviewing the packet he left and speaking to Jake on the phone it was a no brainer to choose Gold Star. Our insurance put up many barriers to discourage our claim for weather damage, and Jake carefully explained the process of submitting (and re-submitting) our claim, what questions to ask, and how to follow-up to get the settlement we were entitled to. It took some time, but the insurance eventually paid for replacing the roof. As soon as it was approved, Gold Star ordered the shingles and had it installed within about 10 days. The Gold Star crew arrived at the crack of dawn, worked all day in the hot sun, and did a beautiful job. The crew was incredibly professional and considerate. They did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left, and I never found a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. I was really worried about this because we have kids and pets that could get hurt stepping on nails. I appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in protecting my home during the construction process. My new roof looks fantastic, and I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors on the craftsmanship. I highly recommend Gold Star Construction to anyone in need of roofing services.
