I do not recommend SOS Auto Repair in San Jose. My van's turn signal issue led me here. They first…read moresuggested I order a relay, which I did, but it didn't resolve the problem. After finally taking the van to their shop, they called three days later to say it was actually just a fuse, and the repair would be $280. Understanding the high cost for a fuse, I respectfully asked if they could include a basic oil change (which my van needed) in that $280 charge as a gesture of customer service. The owner, Mr. Arthur, flatly refused and was incredibly rude in the process. Charging $280 for a fuse replacement after giving incorrect initial advice is excessive. Combining that with terrible customer service and a greedy, dismissive attitude from the owner makes this an easy decision: avoid this shop at all costs. They are dishonest and do not value their customers.

I didn't get the name of the person who helped me, but I think he might have been the owner. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I told him my situation and he came out to look at my car. I asked him what his assessment was and he told me that he recommends that I only change two tires since the other two were still good. He printed me out a sheet of recommended tires and went over it with me, giving me suggestions. He told me about warranties and what they offer along with the purchase of tires too (free repairs if they can repair, etc.). He didn't have the tire in stock but it was Saturday and he'd have the tires in by Monday and said he could take me Monday. The price of the tires were very fair, especially for the size of my tires. I will be coming back once I need to replace my other ones. My brother (big car guy) spoke highly of Kim's Tires and he was right to do so!

They also used a plug instead of a patch because they said it's not a foam but epoxy. We will definitely be repeat customers!

I seen that for Sundays they are by appointment only so I gave them a call around 10:40am.
