Advanced Auto has never let me down. Very responsive and attentive. If they don't have something in stock they will have it the next day.

Called to find if they had a part for my Buick. Not only couldn't they find the part, but it…read moreseems they misplaced their common decency and any initiative towards customer service. Fuck these self appointed kings of shiny trash.

Here's my experience with Andrews…read more I was in the area, spotted an older Jeep for a very low price. Called them the next Monday, asking about the Jeep, if it had a title, vin numbers, etc. I was looking into restoring an older vehicle, and this one caught my eye. Dale told me it had a clean title and all the VIN numbers, as well as a few extra parts, a hard top, extra hood, and doors for the hard top. At this point, I'm really anxious to get a better look at it. So a few friends and I went to look at it. We liked what we saw. It was in a very good condition for how old it was, and it had mostly original parts. So we negotiated him down to a fair price for it. Unfortunately he didn't have the title there, as he was "selling it for a friend", and he couldn't get the title for a few days. This was a red flag that we missed. So we decided to take it home and they'd contact me when they got the title. Skip ahead about 10 days, still no answer from Dale. I call him up, and after a few minutes of reminding him of the situation, he says that his friend is supposedly looking for the title and still hasn't found it. He then proceeded to tell me that he may have to put in for a duplicate title to be made. To do this, I would need to fax him the VIN number as he believed that he didn't have the correct VIN for the vehicle on file. I caught this red flag. So, I went and checked the VIN on the Jeep to the one on my bill of sale. The bill of sale was missing 4 digits from the VIN, and 3 of the ones it had were wrong. I then searched the VIN on Google, and it turns out that the year is also wrong on all the paperwork. My next move was to talk to some people I know about what I should do. Most said it's probably a hot vehicle, and to either try to get my money back, contact a lawyer, or contact the state police. So I called him up, he tried to make small talk until I asked for my money back for the Jeep. He proceeded to ask if anything was wrong and why I want to get my money back. I told him there's no title for it and it's worthless without one. He then said that he is getting a duplicate title made, and it would be 3 weeks until he would get it. I again told him I wanted my money back, to which he said he would think about it. Not 30 minutes later he calls me back and asks when I can bring the Jeep back. So, here I am now, no Jeep and waiting for the check to clear. I'm still pissed about the whole situation. But I learned a few things. Don't give someone money until you see the title, and that the VIN numbers match up on the paperwork. Nobody I have talked to would believe that a business would pull this shit, but here it is.
