I had to go yesterday, a Sunday night at 7:40 pm and they were open. Service was great, they checked my car's battery for free and the guy who helped me was nice as he explained to me how much it will be if I had to change the batteries my car with them. Whoever wore a gray shirt this day, had a snotty attitude and I had a discount to use and he refused to honor the discount. Only because they were supposed to have the parts I needed, because another Advanced location searched and found the parts at this store was the only reason I came here, and they DID NOT !! Time to check inventories !! Of course HAD to upsell me, (more money), and then wouldn't give me the discount that Kendall ALWAYS does, as well as North Miami Beach . The service at this location is terrible. I don't know why I even bother giving them so many chances. I usually come here when I know I don't need anyone's help because God forbid you ask an employee for help. So kill me for not knowing which size etc wiper blades I need for my vehicle. I ask the employee for help before I paid for the blades , she totally ignores me. I purchased 1 set of blades not knowing if it comes with 2 blades or not. The lady scanned the blade and didn't even bother caring to point out that not only did I need a 2nd blade but I purchased the wrong one. Now I never ever changed my blades because everywhere I go just like this place offers free installation. But why offer a service you don't even care to provide. Mind you I just got out of work myself , I deal with customers all day. I get it more and more people are stressed out due to the pandemic. But I'm a federal employee that deals with a high volume of customers all day for the past 15 years. No one deserves to be treated unfairly. I'm courteous to all my customers yet a simple place like advance auto zone can't even do that. I go back inside and decide to speak with next employee since I didn't want to give anyone attitudes. I said I believe I purchased the wrong blade because I need 2 wiper blades and I'm not sure what size I need. Yet they have my vehicle info on record with my phone number. The guy asks me for my vehicle information. I told him 2007 Ford Fusion , he says there is no fusion on my list , meanwhile I'm starting at the word fusion on his screen. I said sir number 17 shows fusion. That's my vehicle . He looks at the blade I purchase to realize I purchase the wrong one. He is there with this extremely laid back attitude like he just cant wait to clock out of work. I said I don't understand why are you guys so mean? I have way better customer at another location, this location just happens to be so close to home. I couldn't take it any more, I got frustrated and said just give me a refund, you guys offer a free service that you're not even willing to provide, I'm kindly asking for help but I don't need to be drained out over petty employees. My car battery died 2 days ago and I needed a new one immediately. This location is down the block from me, and I made sure to run here first. I was taken care of immediately and the employee was very helpful. She was not sure which battery I had (neither did I) and showed me how to check it for future reference. They were also able to do the installation for me, free of charge. Their battery offers a 3 year warranty which is awesome. I was super happy with their services, and so far their product seems good. I have heard many mixed reviews about this store, but I have yet to have a negative experience. Their location is extremely convenient to where I live, and their customer service has always been good. The location is clean, well stocked, and well maintained. I am not an expert in car repair. In actuality, I am the type of person who probably messes up their car more due to carelessness and apathy, so when my brother told me I needed to replace my windshield wipers, I shuddered in confusion and asked myself how am I supposed to do this. However, Advance Auto Parts was an angel in disguise. All I had to do was walk up to the counter, ask where the windshield wipers were, give them my car information, and then they sold the wipers to me. What put them over the top? FREE INSTALLATION! I came for a simple " check engine light" -- the old big girl ( since calling her a lady would be an insult) at the register seemed bothered by the request and stated someone would come help me-- two costumers came in after me and she told an employee to help them first. Just got off the phone with a man named Mike. I politely asked if they install batteries there, and he did everything he could to talk me out of coming there because he was too lazy to install it. Lots of problems with finding orders and customer service in general. I ordered a battery at 11 am online and received confirmation that it would be ready to pick up in 30 minutes. At 7 pm the manager said they did not have my order in their system. I offered to give him the order number but he just kept repeating that he had nothing under my name and that I needed to call Advances 800 number. When I called, the automated system said my order was ready at this store. After being on the phone with customer service for 20 minutes, customer service called the store, gave them the order number and they found the order. I felt like I was providing the service that the store should have. Also, there was a long and slow line that I came to realize was caused by similar problems (they couldn't find people's orders, told people their order was already picked up, etc). I am giving them two stars instead of one because one of the service guys, Alec, was really helpful while working on a ton of installations at once. Also the value/price was decent...hopefully I will get good use out of the battery. read more
