This is unbelievable to me because I then had to go to the store to jump her car and to bring her to advanced auto parts in Tewksbury, which is 30 minutes away. this is unbelievable and unacceptable. I called corporate and gave them the rundown of what happened and they said they will contact their district manager. I asked corporate if this was a rule that if a car battery takes 40 minutes that they can't do it and the corporate said this is unacceptable and no this is not a rule that they standby. I am stunned and shocked that these workers don't care about their company enough that they would rather me bring my work to advance auto parts. Who did it in 15 minutes. After direct discussions with the shop manager ( and family member of the owner I presume) we agreed on the first step. I was somewhat hesitant because of the significant mark-up of the part prices but thought for sure they would make up for it with service and quality. I ignored the 90$/hour labor charge thinking the same. The first hurdle was to install an auxiliary battery and a window. After leaving the van for two and a half days I thought there would be plenty of time to get the job done right. Instead, I found they did not install the parts quoted ( aftermarket aftermarket parts used?) and the manager certainly did not inspect the work with serious flaws in quality. In the end, at the expense of my time and energy, the situation was corrected. The experience was not a good one and I advise caution.
