Brockton Auto Parts

I found this place by accident on my way to Everett's auto parts (also on Thatcher Street in…read moreBrockton). I needed to replace a tail light on my SUV. I priced kits at the major auto parts store and my dealer ship, all were going to be well over $200. I looked online and found Everett's and called and they said they had one tail light in stock and would hold it. Well, I don't know Brockton that well, so using my gps I plugged in the address and off I went. When I hit Thatcher street, I could see that I was close, but then I saw the sign for "Brockton Auto Parts", with a ton of used cars for sale, repairs in the yard and HUGE junk yard behind the shop. I had my elderly mother with me (she loves adventures) and when we parked, we certainly got a few looks from the men in the yard. This must be the place to go for those talented folks who can do their own car repairs, as there were all kinds of men getting parts, consulting with the staff or waiting on repairs. When we went inside, one of the mechanics/staff right away went and go a chair from the office for my mom to sit with and the other gentleman asked how he could help. I told them I had called that morning (Still thinking I was at the other shop) and they were holding a tail light for me...he gave me a look, but asked me for the make/model/year of my truck and said he'd be right back. He took about 15 mins, and I was a little bit worried, but then he came out with the light and asked me how much I was told it would cost. I told him $35, he pointed me to the register and asked if I wanted it installed, I asked how much and was told "no charge"...awesome! He then went out to the yard and started to install the light. I paid the other gentleman, and thanked him profusely. He told me no worries, but that "Everett" (the man putting in the light) deserved the thanks. So out me and mom went and again thanked the man. Who also replaced the dead bulb and fried socket, free of charge! When I tried to give him a tip, he said not necessary, but let me give you my card, as this is Brockton Auto, not Everett...I was embarrassed, but so pleased with the help, price and the people at this shop that I am writing this review in gratitude. If I was a car person, I'd go here all the time. As it is, I saved over $150 and am very happy to give them 5 stars!

I recently moved to MA and was in need of a cheap used car. Saw TC Auto Repair & Sales with a car…read morelisting I liked for real cheap. This dealer has GREAT reviews on Cargurus, Yelp, Google and Facebook so I figured I'd give it a shot. I called and asked if the car was still available and they said it was and that I can come test drive it. I got there and test drove 2 cars with absolutely no problem, he just needed a copy of my license. I decided to purchase the original car I came for. The sticker price was $4500 and all I needed to pay was $4500 via bank check. There was absolutely no other fees I had to pay directly to TC Auto Repair. Next, I had to get car insurance and get their auto insurance stamp/signature on the RMV Title and Registration form. I went and got Geico and they provided me with a prefilled auto insurance stamp/signature for the Title/Reg Form. I had to go back to TC Auto Repair for them to sign the dealer's portion of the Title/Reg form. TC Auto Repair had originally pre-filled and signed the form and it just needed the auto insurance's signature/stamp but for whatever reason Geico had to print their own version causing me to back travel for the dealer's signature. Then I had to go to the RMV with the completed form. I didn't have to make an appointment, I was able to just walk in. Took about 1 hour but it was to be expected as a walk-in. I had to pay the MA RMV about $75 for the title, $60 for the registration certificate and close to 7% of the vehicle's purchase value as sales tax. I was then handed the actual license plate. I was surprised I got actual plates on the spot because all of my cars in California, I'd get temporary plates (or no plates at all) and had to wait a week or two for the plates to arrive in the mail. The last step was for me to get the inspection sticker. I was ready to take the car to a local mechanic for inspection stickers. However, TC Auto Repair hooked me up with a free inspection and it took only about 15 minutes. The car passed the inspection and received an inspection sticker. I was done with the entire process and was able to go home. It's only been a day with the car but so far so good. I've had nothing but a great experience with TC Auto Repair and Sales. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. I'll probably be looking here first if I need a new car in the future.
