What upset me…read moremost was when I went to close my account over the phone, I was not asked any security questions what-so-ever, they woman just look my word that I was who I was and said it was closed and a check would be in the mail. I think anyone could have closed my account.

I am new to all this and was hoping to find a place willing to work with me and help me start with all this loan nonsense. Them being a credit union you would expect them to be a little more understanding towards students. Was going to set up a debit card with them as well but I think I'll wait and see if there's other better opinions in the area.

ALWAYS a long wait. Usually only one teller (maybe two on a good day). They move so slowly and…read moreactually socialize with a customer at the window even when there are customers waiting in line. They will let a customer just talk and talk, and they'll interact with them instead of saying they need to help others. Awful service, and you have to go in. There is no drive-up banking. Oh, and they won't take a check that isn't printed EXACTLY as it reads on the account. So, if your account is Bob's Building, LLC, woe to you if your check doesn't have the LLC on it. No other bank REQUIRES your check to match EXACTLY because sometimes a payer gets that part wrong or omits it, but most banks don't care. Antiquated rules for such a big bank, and all made worse by a slow and mentally exhausting branch. Try Flagstar across the street. They are fast, friendly, and there's barely ever a wait. Our company has multiple accounts with Flagstar, and they are awesome. Lastly, BoA will not allow a non-signer to pick up a change order, which is another antiquated policy. Most banks allow you to put workers on your account who are allowed to do change orders. Not BoA. They are stuck in The Stone Age doing business with The Flintstones. As a massive corporation that has screwed people on mortgages and been fined by the government, you'd think they'd be more people-friendly to bring in younger and newer customers, but nope. Big NOPE.
