What upset me…read moremost was when I went to close my account over the phone, I was not asked any security questions what-so-ever, they woman just look my word that I was who I was and said it was closed and a check would be in the mail. I think anyone could have closed my account.

I am new to all this and was hoping to find a place willing to work with me and help me start with all this loan nonsense. My card was stolen and I ordered a new one through the Bank of America app. It's been over a week and I still haven't received my card. As we all know it's hard to get around when you can't make any transactions at all with a frozen card. So I called Bank of America through a different city and they transferred me to customer service where I was told to go to my local Bank of America and she said they would "take good care of me" which they did! This Bank of America had one star and a couple of bad reviews so I was hesitant to come here but I took my chances and I'm glad I did! The service was quick. I told them what my problem was and I sat on the couch no more the 2 minutes before a nice woman ,with the last name of Khan, took me to the back. Mrs. Khan was very nice and I told her of my complications and she handled things very quickly. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes with a temporary card and she even left her desk area to come outside and show me how to use the ATM. Mrs. Khan provided excellent service and we even had nice small talk which made me less nervous about doing all this by myself for the first time. This Bank of America definitely deserves 5 stars!

ALWAYS a long wait. Usually only one teller (maybe two on a good day). They move so slowly and…read moreactually socialize with a customer at the window even when there are customers waiting in line. They will let a customer just talk and talk, and they'll interact with them instead of saying they need to help others. Awful service, and you have to go in. There is no drive-up banking. Oh, and they won't take a check that isn't printed EXACTLY as it reads on the account. So, if your account is Bob's Building, LLC, woe to you if your check doesn't have the LLC on it. No other bank REQUIRES your check to match EXACTLY because sometimes a payer gets that part wrong or omits it, but most banks don't care. Antiquated rules for such a big bank, and all made worse by a slow and mentally exhausting branch. Try Flagstar across the street. They are fast, friendly, and there's barely ever a wait. Our company has multiple accounts with Flagstar, and they are awesome. Lastly, BoA will not allow a non-signer to pick up a change order, which is another antiquated policy. Most banks allow you to put workers on your account who are allowed to do change orders. Not BoA. They are stuck in The Stone Age doing business with The Flintstones. As a massive corporation that has screwed people on mortgages and been fined by the government, you'd think they'd be more people-friendly to bring in younger and newer customers, but nope. Big NOPE.

However, the…read moremanager Frank C was on a power trip and despite my having the funds in my account I was assessed a $32 insufficient funds fee. I explained that I had also just deposited $300 cash into my account, but he refused to do a curtesy reversal. I see lots of other credit unions here on Yelp with much better reviews than this branch of DFCU and so because of this rude branch manager I will be closing both my personal and business accounts.
