Read the entire review because this is a positive review…read more.. I went to another pawn shop in Olathe (You know... The big one...) before stopping into Heartland. I attempted to pawn my items but, because of the disrespectfully low price they tried to buy them for, I chose to find another option. I found Heartland on my phone and drove the short distance to check them out. I didn't even know Heartland existed, let alone there on Ridgeview. I walked in and attempted to pawn 2 items that I received free after a recent phone upgrade. I didn't need them and they were still unopened from their respective retail packaging. They told me that they do not take anything that is unopened without a receipt, which I didn't have since I received them free. I was surprised and disappointed. But, looking back, I realize why they did that. They simply do not want stolen goods in their store, which is understandable and respectable. The other pawn shop did not have that same issue regarding new merchandise and never asked for a receipt. I ended up selling my items another, albeit slower, way. However, because of their standards, at Heartland, I will use their services next time I need a pawn broker. Maybe you should as well. Integrity in the pawn business is increasingly rare.
