It's a great hangout spot for groups to bond over nice smashburgers, fries, waffles and fried chicken. Pros: great selection of burgers, fried chicken and a variety of waffles both savory and sweet in options. Con: if I had anything to complain about, it would be the odd liquid nature of the shakes. As an American, I'm used to shakes that are served thick enough at least initially to be eaten with a spoon. With shakes like Snickers bars mixed in, you expect a thicker more frozen shake to evenly disperse the candy bits. The shakes here are more molten ice cream milk in viscosity which is problematic causing the candy bits to all congregate at the bottom. I'm still giving this a 4 out of 5 because I do recommend this place. If they ever redo the shakes to be thicker and more frozen in nature, it would elevate the Americana experience in Wellington even moreso.

Chicken bits are well fried - very crispy outside and juicy inside, the salad combination seems rather Japanese inspired. Coleslaws vege+ Japanese pickled ginger + green apple. Aioli dressing is well made with a hint of spiciness,chicken bits include skin only pieces. -3.5/5 Ginger seemed like a standard package from the market. Salad base is so-so with 90% of its content being coleslaw vege. Chicken bits themselves are very well done. I'm not sure if I liked the combination of the fried chicken & chosen salad. Eggplant meatballs: Presentation is good, still more on the earthy side. Tomato smells amazing, caper dressing on top added another flavor profile that's even more powerful than the sauteed tomato.Tomato sauce is quite balanced though a bit sour for my taste. Vegetarian meatball but it's one that isn't trying to pretend that it's one. The parfait seems a bit hard to cut with the dessert spoon. Not sure what's the best way to consume this dessert, but maybe that's part of the fun of it as well as the warm fig & cold parfait contrast. Fig is nicely toasted, very soft, nice fruity sweetness. Arriving at 6:40pm, the restaurant was only about halfway filled with a placard at the entrance announcing that this evening's Roast is sliced sirloin. I was hoping for lamb but this will do. I sat by the window with my laptop and used some wifi before and after dinner. My meal arrived after about ten minutes, a good portion with sliced sirloin, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes and yes, a Yorkshire pudding. A light gravy over all and the only point off is that they did not have any horseradish for the beef. Perfectly cooked, nicely presented and absolutely delicious. We…read morecame here last week for a friend's birthday and it was very upsetting when the friend's whose birthday it was had to apologize to everyone (although none of us were upset with her). Rather the restaurant was at best 25% full and it took us over an hour and a half to get our order. In fact, couples who were seated after us received their food before us. In no way is this an appropriate manner to serve patrons. There was no update on when our food would be served and the waiters barely came to our table. A simple "we are short on staff your order will be late" would have been nice. And when we did get food, there were around 5 napkins on the table for 8 people. We asked for more, 2 minutes passed, (at this point the restaurant was at even less capacity than our start) and nothing came. When I walked up to ask for napkins, it seemed that this simple request was already forgotten by the wait staff. And finally the food - although it looks nice on Instagram it was a let down. The food is very fatty and greasy and if you are looking for a healthy vegetarian meal this is not the place. Overall - I highly do not recommend coming here unless you want to be disappointed.
