I was told I needed a compressor, alternator, and battery, and the total cost for that repair was over $4,000. After that work was completed, I was informed that my vehicle still had a suspension leak and that additional repairs were "urgent" and should be completed within six months. The estimate for the next round of repairs was over $9,000 for parts alone. Because of the seriousness of the recommendation, my husband and I purchased aftermarket parts totaling about $4,300. During this time, communication from the shop became inconsistent. It took repeated follow‑ups to get updates, and at one point, I was told simply to "bring the car in" when I asked for a labor quote. Throughout the process, I also received multiple requests to leave a review before all the work was completed. Before moving forward, we decided to get a second opinion. Gerald's inspected my car and informed us that NONE of the air springs OR shock assemblies were damaged. According to our second opinion, the ONLY issue was a single front ball joint. They completed the repair, including parts, labor, and alignment for $400.52 (in one day)!!! This was a SIGNIFICANT difference from what I had previously been told, and I now have several thousand dollars' worth of parts I CANNOT return. Based on my experience, I personally WILL NOT be returning to Meineke for future service. On a positive note, Gerald's provided clear communication, an accurate diagnosis, and fair pricing.
