Show up to the place and it's up these rickety, dark and narrow stairs. I walk into the salon and basically, well, it's a freaking disaster: the wood floors are cracked, missing pieces and slanted, the door was covered in mis-matched mauve flowery wallpaper, the makeup trays are dusty and covered in every liquid colour imaginable, the chairs and nothing matches and the lighting is horrible, oh, and the curtains? So awful: easter egg purple, yellow and what I assume used to be white? The owner though, she was quite kind and asked if I had clean hair to which I answered "um yeah, I guess?" and then she proceeded to spritz cold water on me and blow dry it. This all seemed quite unorthodox as I am used to a nice shampoo beforehand but I was in a hurry so didn't question it. The blow dryer itself was hotter than the surface of the sun and hurt my scalp and she pulled at my hair like some sort of dungeon master, but you know what? The blow dry ended up lasting for almost 3 days, pretty darn good. Throughout the appointment, various women came into the salon and interrupted my experience and they were pretty loud, but as the woman doing my hair kept commenting to them, I did literally just walk in off the street :P The website said that it was 25$, but I got the white girl special of 30$, oh well, still not too bad considering I was mostly happy with the result.
