Stick with them, they fail miserably in the arena of charm and person to person interaction. Initial phone interaction was awful so I went to the store, wasn't exactly inspiring. That said, the product that they produced was so over the top fantastic that I cannot recommend them highly enough. I had used Metro years ago for a charity ball that I chaired and they were my first choice because the arrangements were terrific. The arrangements that they made for my recent baby naming were huge and absolutely beautiful, better than I could have hoped for. The flowers were expensive but I think entirely reasonable for the quality of the blooms used. read more

Out of all of the million vendors at our wedding, Adrian was the only one I had complete faith in. We met with many florists before meeting with Adrian but the moment we met him, we knew we wanted him to be the florist at our wedding. We paid the deposit the same day. He's so genuine and his team does a phenomenal job. They execute every detail to the T. During my reception room reveal, so many things had gone wrong already during the day but the one thing that went right were my florals and decor. I can't say all of my experiences have been perfect but after working with other florists you realize these are one of the top ones. They always accommodate with budget and my mishaps have been related to the color of flowers. What they have done is accommodated last minute bouquet orders to places in Queens though they are in Long Island. I really do appreciate that. I live in California but have friends that live in Great Neck.so I had used them before for delivering a bouquet. Yesterday I needed to order a bouquet and The person that helped me was absolutely rude to me. She charged my credit card and per our agreement sent me a picture of the bouquet and then would not respond to my texts, for confirmation of delivery. I would expect that if it was a cheap bouquet. Horrible horrible service, this place should called Scam Floral Designs. Matrizia is extremely unprofessional and rude. I placed an order for my mothers birthday. I had a budget and was told if I increase my budget, I would get an better flower arrangement which I did. I was promised an arrangement and received an arrangement as if an 5 year old arranged the flower. Delivery was promised before 2pm and received the flower at 2:40pm which ruined my lunch plans. Was promised an new arrangement but when I received the pictures was much smaller than the original picture I agree to. I have one word for this flower shop, CROOKS!! If you want quality and beautiful flower arrangement for someone special, please don't waste your time here! The only thing you will get is disappointment!!!!! Worst service ever! In November of 2007, I was introduce to Adrian at Metro Florists and I possible decorator for my wedding. March 2008 I could not have been more thrilled with my choice! Adrian and his crew did an AMAZING job. I priced out what I wanted at one other florist. Adrian came in lower and in my opinion did MORE than what I paid for (which you NEVER hear when it comes to wedding vendors). I have gone back to Metro for many occasions now and was just blown away by the amazing bouquet of flowers my husband ordered for Valentines Day. I will continue working with Adrian and crew and hope that people give him the opportunity to make there day as special as he made mine. read more

I'm on the fence about this place. This is the third time that I'm dealing with them. The first time was for my wedding. They did an amazing job as far as the floral arrangements are concerned, but 5 minutes before my wife and I are supposed to walk down the Isle and with half the guests already there, they were still setting up. The second time was for an anniversary. This time they did an amazing job. They got to my wife's job at a reasonable time, and as usual the floral arrangements looked great. This last time however, they let me down again. I'm convinced that the quality of their work is great, but the way they handle their customers is sub-par. I called because it's my wife's 25th birthday and I wanted to send flowers to her job. I was placed on hold, and when the lady got back on the phone she asked for my name and number and said she would call back in 10 minutes. An hour later, and no call... I'm not going to stalk them to give them my money, so unfortunately for them, I'll be spending my money elsewhere. read more

Adrian and staff did an absolute beautiful job on centerpieces and floral accents for our wedding ceremony and reception. We went with a mix of single large arrangements on round tables and runners made of flowers for rectangular tables with candelabras. The room looked amazing. Amazing team, beautiful designs! I was able to walk in and out of the florist within 20 minutes and get everything settled for my wedding. They showed me a book when I first arrived, let me pick out a centerpiece and flowers, and even asked for my own "inspiration" photos. Flowers looked amazing on my wedding day at Leonard's Palazzo this past Sunday, and I couldn't have been any happier. There was a slight mix up with the vases that we had rented (guests took off with a majority of them) but Metro was extremely communicative throughout the whole process from start to after finish and helped me figure everything out. After a lot of conversations about how many flowers would be included for the price I was quoted (the sample did not have as many as we expected) Adrian and Fariba did a great job at our wedding. Everybody loved the flowers and the designs. However, they did take the flowers back with them at the end of the night, probably to reuse. And we had told them that we wanted to keep them for our guests to take home. We had paid for them after all, and for them to take them away at the end of the night was not fair. I went here to get a corsage for prom and it did not disappoint! I got a white mini rose corsage and it was so beautifully made! They added 5 flowers plus a beautiful white satin ribbon. My friends also ordered they're corsages there and it was amazing. The only con was that the flowers was browning at the edges within a few hours. BEST FLORIST EVER!!! I just got married this past July and worked with the lovely Fariba at Metro Flowers in Great Neck, NY. She did an impeccable job on the flowers for our wedding, all 300 guests are still talking about them. Fariba has an original sense of style and pays attention to such detail. We had our own white winter wonderland in the middle of July. It can be described as "A Blue Heaven". It truly was the ultimate accent piece to complement the love that was in the room that night. The chuppah Fariba at Metro created simply was breathtaking. Standing underneath it exchanging vows I felt like we were in our own exquisite garden dripping with orchids and crystals . Looking at pictures in the weeks since the wedding in retrospective it was even more spectacular than I ever imagined and hoped for. The unique centerpieces in the ballroom looked like nothing I had ever seen before. The mixing and matching of designs blended perfectly with the chic and modern style that I wanted to have for the night. As much as I loved my venue, seeing the ballroom through the eyes of Fariba turned a beautiful room into the night of our dreams. My husband and I were extremely disappointed with Metro florist on the outcome of our wedding day. Although I confirmed with the florist a couple of days before to ensure everything was set and done correctly unfortunately crap still happened. For starters, my bouquet started to fall apart before the church ceremony even started. It seems as if the flowers weren't put together tight enough so they appeared to look very sloppy. Prior to our wedding day I dropped off extra fabric from my bridesmaid dresses for them to add to all the girls bouquet, including and especially my bouquet. I stressed to them the importance to use the exact same fabric on my bouquet but instead they used a completely different fabric and to top it off a different shade of blue from the bridesmaid dresses. Out of all bouquets, how do you mess up on a brides bouquet?? Secondly, my husband and his groomsmen boutonniere along with some other flowers were suppose to be delivered to my in-laws house (this is where my husband got dressed) instead that morning my mother in law spent time calling the florist asking where the flowers were since they hadn't been delivered the time requested. Well in the end they basically messed up and forget to deliver them so they ended up having to rush the delivery of the boutonnière to the church. We were lucky enough that they got there right before the ceremony began, but every single picture our photographer took at my in-laws house were taken without the men's boutonnière's. Although the centerpieces came out nice, messing up on a bride and grooms stuff on one of the most important days for them is by far the worse mistake a florist can ever make. read more

I have got to say, they do BEAUTIFUL work, but they don't deliver what they promise. Whatever you do, do NOT pay in full ahead of time.. words of wisdom. We were promised arrangements of ONLY orchids, but were not given that.. they "fluffed" our arrangements with other flowers and dispersed the orchids throughout. I can say, though, the arrangements were stunning. We worked with Fariba, but she happened to go on a surprise vacation a day before our wedding.
