We all need to pamper ourselves every now and again. And this time of year, my body takes lots of abuse due to my outdoor adventures. So it was a real pleasure to surrender myself to Melanie's tender care. My skin thanked me. Adorned Aesthetics is not a cookie cutter corporate salon experience, even though she is located in the Trio Salon. I've visited for a variety of services during the past few months, but the highlight was definitely the facial. She really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and that the experience was customized to meet my needs (physical and emotional) on that day. She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable and changed the music (I'm not a New Age kind of girl) to a shared favorite, Depeche Mode. The room is relaxing and I absolutely felt cocooned in comfort in the chair. One way that nail and beauty salons can ruin the experience is by constantly pushing products and upselling. I haven't felt any of that pressure here which is very much appreciated. She has even recommended products, when I specifically asked, that she doesn't sell, so there was no benefit to her. I don't get professional massages and facials as much as I would like and my body needs, but I would definitely recommend Melanie to anyone in the area. read more

Every facial experience with Melanie is pure bliss. Ever since I found her, I have had no desire to go to anybody else. Her facial is a mix clinical skin care and full mind & body relaxation. Time and again I would doze off during the arm and shoulder massage.. feeling fully content. Receiving regular facial from her was the best thing I have done for my skin. Now I rarely have break outs, the milia under my eyes has diminished considerably, and my skin looks healthy, with a natural glow. I'll never be able to say enough about how great Melanie is. I went to her back in September for lash extensions on a living local deal. She was very accomodating to my weird schedule and was also open to hearing about my lash desires. She not only gave me the result I wanted but she even went out of her way to do way more. The first time she did my lashes I almost cried (but tried really hard not to because you can't get them wet for 48 hrs). But, I looked like the best possible version of me. I'll never ever be able to thank her enough for giving me that. p.s. I'm uploading a photo of my lashes as of right now. I try and see Melanie on a weekly basis just because she's such a great person to be around and because I always feel better once I've seen her. Giving someone 5 stars to me is say there is no room for improvement, 4 stars is I would come back & 3 is service was good but not for me. I'm really hurt that you immediately took it as an attack! I hope you have a better day... **Then a year later another massage (which unfortunately I may have deleted but will continue to look for it) that basically said "she learned her lesson & offered me a free service to prove it". I do not take free services for my reviews/updates so I ignored it. And I wasn't trying to "teach her a lesson" I was writing about MY experience based on MY opinions. Last I checked under the Freedom of Speech Act I'm still allowed too without fear of prosecution. Funny thing is I originally gave her 3 stars which means "good but maybe not for me". Melanie has redefined what I thought a facial is. Having had a clinical facial in the past I had an idea of what to expect, I thought. Not even close! Melanie offers a facial that encompasses more than just the technique, she strives (successfully) to bring your mind and body into a state of relaxation during the facial. So much better than the clinical version. Melanie's vibe is very mellow and happy, you can tell she enjoys her profession. The quality of the products she uses is wonderful, my face has never felt or looked so good. I left my appointment relaxed and in a very tranquil state of mind, much like after a massage. Yes, her arm, neck, and head massage went a long ways toward enabling that :-) She is very considerate and concerned about her customers being comfortable, know what to expect with each phase, and are understanding what she is doing and why. Being one of those people who really wants to know, I greatly appreciate this facet of her service. Compared to your typical clinical facial, Melanie takes it to a whole new level....easy to get spoiled. I am beginning to understand why women love facials. I was leaving for vacation to Mexico and wanted to get a back massage while on the beach. So, me being a man with hair that naturally grows on my back, I was wanting to clear it all away so I could get a perfect massage. I decided to give Adorned Aesthetics my business as they were highly recommended to me. I couldn't have made a better choice. Upon walking into the salon, you are immediately greeted by very friendly and professional ladies offering refreshments of tea, water, coffee, etc. You then notice the very clean and good set up of the front are with pedicure and nail stations. The scheme is lovely. Melanie H. was my personal aesthetician and she is a lovely lady. I was led back to the private room for my treatment and was pleased at the tranquil atmosphere in Melanie's studio. She talked me through the process and offered answers to any questions I had. I entire experience was great and I think Melanie has a genuine desire to make people happy with beauty treatments.
