I had taken my…read moredress to another dry cleaners closer to my home and they were saying they may bleed the red color into the white so they wanted to forewarn me. This dress I've had since 1998 I had never been told this before and had never had such an issue. When I took it to Miss Kims no such issues. I also let them know about the warning the other dry cleaners warned me of. They said they had no such issues. Their prices are very reasonable. I was a little leery at first because I had to pay first & I've never had to do that before. I've taken that dress all over the USA & this is the first time I had to pay for service before I got the service.

I'll keep this review to the point. There are three reasons for my 1 star review:…read more 1) I went to pick up my order on the promised pickup date. They handed me my article of clothing which had not been touched since I had dropped it off! I pointed this out to them. They did apologize and immediately worked on it on the spot but it was annoying that they hadn't done anything in the few days since I dropped it off. 2) I don't think the alteration was particularly good quality for the price. They had measured me when I dropped it off. I wouldn't say the result was bad but it wasn't perfect either. However, I was already annoyed by point #1 above that I didn't bother to say anything and try to get it adjusted. 3) I had a feeling a business like this might charge a different price for cash versus credit card. However, at this point in the experience, I didn't bother asking because I just wanted to get out of there. I used credit card and they ended up charging me 60 cents more. They didn't let me know before swiping my card and I didn't see a sign posted anywhere informing customers of this. They should give a courtesy FYI before a customer uses credit card. For a better alterations experience, I'd suggest spending a couple extra bucks to get alterations done at a more professional business such as through a department store, suit shop, or formal wear / menswear store.
