Turns out Chris, as well as us, is a dog lover so after a few mins of lamenting on what wonderful family members they are (as opposed to what most normal people would do when their house smells of urine!) we agreed on an in-situ clean of both objects with his eco friendly products (the reason we picked him) They smelt fresh after he left and we were really pleased. But after a few days the rug smell returned.I called Chris and he came immediately to pick up the offending article to take it to his workshop for more intensive cleaning. Something we had hoped not to have to do, however he explained sometimes urine smell was particularly hard to remove. Chris cleaned the rug 6 times by immersing it in cleaning solution then squeezing it out with his machines, a process he talked us through. Each time he let it dry then re-cleaned as he was not satisfied the smell had gone. That's what I call thorough!! He delivered the rug back to us and talked us through rug care and gave us some of his product free of charge.
