Kristin was so lovely to work with, I have gone back again! I initially booked time with Kristin to have non-US passport photos taken, and I really wanted the measurements to be correct (which I didn't trust CVS to necessarily get right the first time). Despite it just being a passport photo, Kristin took the time to make sure it looked great - I have never had such a nice looking photo for an ID! Because of her expertise, Kristin was able to get an excellent shot quickly by asking me to make small adjustments. Her attention to detail is excellent - she noticed one of my earrings was rotated so we could fix it for the shot. After that great first experience, I went back for new professional headshots. Usually, getting my picture taken isn't all that fun a thing to do, and passport photos are notoriously hard to get to look good, but Kristin at Adonis took a photo I am really happy with. She also was very hospitable and helpful regarding my folding bike, which I rode down to the studio. Having conducted hours of research, I satisfied myself that Adonis Photography was the only business in the Puget Sound area that could guarantee compliance with European Union requirements for passport photos. Whether or not there are other such businesses in the area, Adonis Photography came through for me spectacularly, as the issuance of my brand new Austrian EU passport with their photos confirms. Every aspect of their operation that I encountered was thoroughly professional. As I was in the studio, I noticed that they had a binder of spec sheets for a large number of foreign countries, clearly reflecting that they had thoroughly done their research. They also closely examined additional specs that I had brought with me. They were assiduously motivated to make sure that their product matched my needs, and they gave me every opportunity to confirm that for myself before I left. This is not a bargain basement shop, so don't come here if price is your sole criterion. However, you are going to get what you pay for at this business. If you need any kind of passport photo that is not the standard product for a U.S. passport, I highly recommend booking an appointment at this studio. We had a great experience getting our passport photos done with Adonis Photography. The owner, Brad, is nice to talk to and talented. He also made us feel safe with the COVID safety procedures he's taking. The 2 + U building that his studio is located in is its own treat. It has a Caffe Ladro in the lobby in case you need caffeine (it wasn't open when we were there) and there is interesting art everywhere plus just a cool vibe. It was cool checking out the building after hearing so much about it. Back to the photos, I really appreciated how Brad did not make us feel rushed--he even offered to clear up a few imperfections here and there on our photos (shiny forehead, etc.) which you wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. He had great advice to give about what would look the best in terms of hair, pose, etc. The photos were worth every penny, and it was nice to have options for how to pay (Venmo, credit card). Brad is knowledgeable and great at taking photos. I had no problems with the pictures he took. It was quick, professional and exactly according to specifications. Great job there ! The whole coordination to get appointments and be picked up from the lobby ( the floors are access restricted on weekends ) is however not the greatest. I had to wait half hour to find out that I should be at a different entrance to the building. Brad is the only photographer that manages to take good passport photos for my 2 years old son. He is a real photographer, very professional and very patient with my son. His studio is quiet, which is very comforting for a toddler. We needed photos for non-US passports, which Walgreens, UPS etc cannot do. So we tried A FEW local copy and print shops that do passport photos, their prices are much higher than regular US passport photos. Passport photos is only one of their many other services, none of them wanted to spend more than 3 minutes with my son (and 3 minutes is definitely not enough to take passport photo for a toddler). And of course, none of them took a photo that satisfy the passport requirements. Worse, they actually refused to take more shots and kept saying "that's the best you can get from a toddler" etc. Well, Brad proved them wrong. With a professional and patient photographer like Brad, a toddler can have good passport photos. We ended up wasting more money on those useless copy and print shops than we paid Brad.
