(Recessing the hinges on a door so it would close properly). I had also hired him to secure my fence at my business, which I had bought metal rods for. He told me the metal rods weren't necessary (so I returned them) and that he would buy the materials needed to secure the fence. The fence blew down a week later, and he charged me to fix it again. This time with metal stakes. It blew down a third time, because he had not secured the ends of it w stakes, but instead used plastic zip ties. I also paid him to build an outdoor shower which looked great, except for a 2" gap that you could see right through to my clients naked bodies. He texted me three times to make sure I sent a check for the second job (that I paid him twice for) but failed to respond to any of my text complaining about the unresolved issues. Seems like a nice guy but does not complete or stand behind his work. I'm only writing this review because he won't respond to my texts regarding my latest fence failure.

DJ was very unprofessional, verbally abusive and confrontational when reminded of areas he forgot…read moreto do, per contract. The quality of his painting was totally substandard, having painted over areas that he didn't even prep, leaving uneven surfaces and large dents. He abandoned the job after only 1 week of work, leaving my home only 1/3 painted. I had to take him to small claims court, as he had already collected half of the money before he even started. I won the judgement for breach of contract. He has yet to honor the court order. If you choose to use him, I highly recommend creating an addendum that is very specific to what you and he discussed at your 1st visit, and have it signed by him. Otherwise, he will argue at every turn that he is not doing an area because "it's not in the contract". He is clever enough to write his contract in an extremely vague manner so he can rely on the phrase "it's not in the contract", that he parroted on a constant basis. Thankfully, I had an addendum with specifics for each room that he signed. However, this did not stop him from challenging every single thing. He is exhausting, not reliable, confrontational, unprofessional, and a substandard painter.

DJ's attention to detail and professionalism is above and beyond anything I have ever seen. Not only does he do excellent work he is kind, trustworthy, honest and a pleasure to be around. He has transformed our house into a beautiful home and would highly recommend him if you are looking to have your home painted.

We chose to use a great deal of natural wood framing for interior doors and around windows. Scott Rising did the lacquer finishes on all this natural wood. As a retired English teacher I am embarrassed to admit that there are simply not enough adjectives…read moreto describe the amazing job that Casey and his crew did in cleaning my windows! To begin with, 'prompt, 'friendly' and 'reasonable' come to mind,. These guys are the consummate professionals! Not only did they do a stellar job cleaning my windows, but they throughly scrubbed and washed all the screens, vacuumed and cleaned the sills. . . and Casey was even kind enough to repair a damaged screen for me. I simply could not be more pleased and impressed! Another important factor for me is that Squeegee Monkey is locally owned and operated. It is always nice to support local businesses. In conclusion, if you are in need of squeaky clean shinning windows give Casey a call. You will not be disappointed.
