    Shredded Chicken Soft Taco Meal

Overall the food and service was TERRIBLE I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you are extremely desperate, but even then your better off getting something from Taco Bell. Food- The shredded Chicken was dry and way too salty. The soft shell was very basic, flavorless, and even a little soggy. The taco was topped with a huge pile of soggy, flavorless lettuce and a HUGE amount of salty, soggy, nasty kraft looking cheese. I had to take out almost all of the cheese to make it edible. Lastly there was a very sparse amount of diced tomatoes that were the only real fresh looking thing on the plate. The beans were salty and the consistency of pudding. Absolutely nasty. The rice was barley cooked and crunchy, weirdly sweet tasting and pretty bland. The chips were stale and chewy. Salsa was watery and unappetizing. Overall tasted terrible and looked very sad for being $9. Service- The worker that got our order seemed passive aggressive, bored, and not at all happy to help us. It took a lot longer to get our food than I was expecting especially since all our food was cold. Worker also gave us a sprite that we never ordered and never even said anything about and we ended up having to pay for it. Never go here if you can, save your tastebuds!!!!

Adobes idea of a chicken quesadilla
    Jonathon L.

Went to adobe and ordered a Chicken quesadilla and 2 chicken soft shell tacos. The chicken in the tacos was full of water and didn't taste like anything. The quesadilla was a blob of cheese and chicken that sat approximately 3 inches high. The staff was all teenage kids who couldn't care less that they represent someones hard earned business, sorry to say but I'm Never going to waste my money there again.

Of course, as with any great Mexican restaurant, you are greeted with delicious chips and salsa shortly after being seated - pure Mex has some of the best!! They'll refill at your request! Also ask for some of the house hot sauce as that only elevates the flavors! We have honestly loved everything we've tried from Pure Mex, and that is much of their menu, but some of our favs are the queso fundido, the Anaheim tacos, the fish tacos, Choripollo, and Arroz con with whichever protein you love most, or a combo of them all!! :) And of course, the MARGARITAS!!! So fresh and so good, every single time! The service at Pure Mex is always friendly and usually very fast!! The atmosphere is clean, open, and feels trendy! We love the side of the dining room that is screened in, where the windows can lift and let the fresh air flow! Give this place a try, from someone whose absolute favorite cuisine is Mexican, I think it's very unlikely that you'll be disappointed! :)

The menu is extensive with everything you can imagine and then some. The signature items are exceptional. We began with draft Modelo. Icy cold!! The chicken enchiladas dinner was devoured quickly! The highlight was a signature pork dish with fried plantains! Amazing! It came with tortillas avacado and rice and beans. I've never seen anything like it on a menu before. I told the manager that this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at!! We finished with churros and leche cake! Our server Emma was sweet and friendly. I can't wait to go back.

They have booths, which is really nice if you want privacy, their bar is separate from their sit-down area. Our server is attentive, very friendly. The only suggestion though, the Horchata is too sweet for my taste, and maybe add a little bit more of cinnamon. But other than that, the food was amazing! Also, their bathroom is clean, which is a big plus for me. We highly recommend this restaurant! My brother-in-law and his coworkers will try this restaurant next time they are in the area.

Verrry fresh guacamole and cheese dip. Excellent for dipping. 3. An awesome Molcajete with fresh carne asada, chicken, chorizo (the chorizo was especially good), and jumbo shrimp. 4. Ground beef taco. My girls first taste of real food in two months. She was in heaven. Just an awesome all around place, good vibes, GREAT pricing, and excellent service.

Had a decent meal, good drinks, and good service, overall, what I would consider 4-star. We figured, let's go back and try it again. Well, that was a mistake. It was a nice day so we decided to eat outside on the patio. A couple of small ants on the table...well, we're outdoors, kinda hard to fault the restaurant for that, but a little off putting nonetheless (this was pretty minor). It was happy hour and half priced apps. We ordered a beer and a classic margarita. Several minutes later, we ordered our food. Several minutes pass by...no drinks, our server seemed to disappear, maybe on break, who knows. At any rate, several minutes later another server brings our food out...still no drinks yet, she asks us what we're drinking, we tell her, and a couple minutes later, she comes out with the wrong beer...and unfortunately, the right margarita. The server apologizes for the beer and brings back the right one - no big deal. But...the margarita?!? Was just bad. My wife drank less than half. I happened to notice that every one near us that ordered margaritas didn't order a 2nd - they ordered a beer instead. Odd? Yeah, I think so. I think OTB needs to take a look at their margarita recipe or get rid of their bartender...considering we went just a couple weeks ago and the margaritas were decent....Im gonna go out on a limb and suggest that it was the bartender. Seriously, you're a Mexican restaurant, great margaritas should be a no-brainer. I'm averaging this out to a 2-star review, the only saving grace being the previous visit. Honestly, this was a pretty bad experience all around. Pretty sure our server was new, felt bad for him, as he seemed pretty nervous and out of his element, but it was pretty awkward...and there were clearly mixups with table numbers since the person delivering the food to the tables (different.than the servers taking the orders) brought food to the wrongs tables at least 3 different times while we were there. I'd like to say we'll be back to try it again, but in all reality, probably not.

The menu consists of your typical items like tacos, burritos, Panchos (nachos), tortas, and more. They also have a lunch special and a daily deal (3 tacos, rice, and beans for $12.50 but no mix and match proteins). Since it was taco tuesday, tacos were $2.50. Nate got three tacos (al pastor, asada, and tinga) and I got a wet burrito with asada. We also ordered a horchata to share and chips and salsa. They have some dine in space but were doing a lot of takeout orders while we were there. Our chips and salsa came out first and the rest of our food shortly after that. The tacos came without toppings since you can load them up with their salsa/toppings bar. The tacos were super stuffed with meat! The burrito was massive - we shared it and still had leftovers for the next day. I tried each of the tacos and they were all delicious. The meats were not dry and again the portions were generous. I really liked the burrito as it was full of meat, cheese, beans, rice, guacamole, lettuce... it had it all. I wish the fillings were mixed up a bit more but it was so tasty. Service was great - we were asked how our meal was and they cleared our table when we were done. I'm really glad we finally made it to Poncho's Tacos and will definitely keep them on my Taco Tuesday list for the future!
