This pub has a prime quayside location, but they make you pay for it (pint of proper job - 2.95).
The view from the window is good though and the interior has an old style charm to it too, full of naval imagery (as befitting its location right near the mayflower steps.in fact the pub is apparently right on top of where the steps were originally).
The music was good (bob dylan, the knacks and many others). I could happily have dwelt a while longer were it not for the drunk army bloke from the nearby base who decided I might benefit from his hard to follow bitter ramblings. I escaped when he staggered outside for a smoke. read more
