A smallish library for a smallish village, although there's currently construction going on to expand it. There's not a fantastic array of books here, as i said, small library, but the librarians are happy to help and books which i've requested have come very quickly. At the moment there's about 8 computers, all with free internet. The children's section appears to be popular, and the library can get quite busy. To sum up, it's a good library. The staff are generally pleasant, there's not a dire lack of books, and the computer access is always available and very handy. It shuts on Wednesday, and it's not open anywhere near as long as the Chorley library, but it's highly valued and Adlington would be much the worse without it. read more
