Jones V has sadly passed away on the evening of August 18, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He died doing something he truly enjoyed. Thomas graduated from South Glens Falls in 2006 and continued on to get an Associate's degree from ACC. After graduating from ACC, he worked at Trustco bank in South Glens Falls for a short time until he realized that he had to follow his dreams. Five years ago, he decided he wanted to open his own business and that is when Devocean Watersports was born. He managed to put together a great team of employees that helped him with boat charters and jet-ski tours on Lake George, out of the hotel "Twin Birches." Thomas loved his business and put everything he had into it. His smile and enthusiasm was infectious to everyone he met along his journey in life. He really enjoyed teaching people how to do things that was out of their norm. Thomas also made many friends down in Marathon within the keys were he went every winter, enjoying life to the fullest. He was predeceased by his father Thomas P. Jones IV. Thomas is survived by his mother Denise Jones, his brother Patrick Jones, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowen and two uncles Christopher and Bob Bowen. Great price. 1 1/2 is quite a bit. Kids were done after an hour and a half. The beach slowly gets deeper so you can go out quite a ways before you are over your head so it is great for beginners. If you are experienced you can just paddle around the corner and it gets deeper. Also there is a boat mooring spot out by the buoys and you can paddle out there. Quick and easy transaction. They even gave a brief intro for the kids about turning, balancing, and safety. Definetly coming back when I go to Burlington again!

Take note that their storefront is along the side of the building, not facing the street, so it can be easy to miss. This past weekend I had the most exceptionally excellent experience with WND & WVS. I'm from Montreal and have been trying to get my hands on a OneWheel (an electric board) for the last little while and it turned out that WND & WVS was the closest spot that had one in stock. When I called the shop about a week and a half ago I spoke to an employee who confirmed they had the board I wanted in stock and that it was actually on sale which was awesome. So this weekend I set out on a road trip to Burlington to get my board. When i arrived at WND & WVS I was informed that the model that I was looking to purchase was actually not on sale. The person that I spoke to on the phone had gotten mixed up between two different models of the board when we spoke and the item that I had wanted was actually many hundreds of dollars more expensive than what I had been told over the phone. Yikes! Had I known that I wouldn't have made the trip to Burlington. In the end the shop owner honoured the price that they had given me over the phone and I got my board! Not only did this make my day but it really sets the bar for customer service. These are clearly the type of people that you want to do business with and I strongly recommend WND & WVS for all your surf and related needs. Even though I live in Montreal, I will certainly go out of my way to give these fine folks my business any time that I'm in or near Burlington.

The water was a bit calm but there were a few parts that were crazy. I was in the back of the raft with our guide so that made me feel a bit safer (I'm adventurous but this definitely had my heart racing as a newbie). My fiancé and friends (they've gone white water rafting before) thought the water was too calm and mentioned coming back when the snow is melting and there are more white caps. Our guide was fun and was trying to get us to "surf" our raft next to a rock which was cool. He also jokingly led us into a rock and I flew forward (luckily he caught me before I went too far ha). When you do go, they provide all of the gear you need and more. Buses take you to and from the river. You will also have to help lift the raft to the water with your group (I ended up slipping and falling on the rocks going down to the river so that was "fun", there are snacks/lunch provided when there's a break in between rafting. Towards the end, it was so calm, we had to row for a good mile or two to get us back. When you get back, dinner is provided and it was delicious! I had a fun time and I do want to come back when the water is choppier. Summer was a good choice for a first timer. All in all, I loved this company and our guide (I want to say his name was Buzz). Our ride down the river was truly a lazy one and sometimes we had to push ourselves along because the current was so slow but we never felt in danger. This is the second year I've gone rafting with this group and I love it. First of all, I love how…read morethey are so organized and how they emphasize safety AND fun. This activity is good for families and friends. If you're going with children, make sure that you have enough adults to paddle with you for a more exciting and safer experience. Second of all, I have never experienced surfing on a raft until I went with this group! The 4-5 hour drive from the city is totally worth it. It is such a cool experience to surf the raft in the surf holes. Our guide, Mark, is so experienced that we were able to surf almost all the surf holes and enjoy the rush of water as we were surfing. The experience was a good mix of adrenaline rush and relaxation. There were parts where we just freely swam in the water, there was a part where we jumped off an 8-foot rock, there was also a part where you can ride the front of the boat as if you were riding a mechanical bull. This is going to be an annual trip and I look forward to the next year! I forgot to mention - their porta potty's are the cleanest porta potties I have ever seen in my life. They have hand sanitizers and all the supplies you need.

Fun songs, dad jokes told better, and I love to her say "Keep paddlin." Lori "Loves to SURF" . This is the best time in the Hudson. We spent several minutes in "Fluffy Box" and she even got the raft turned around!!! We also made it into Bus Stop and got in some good surf there as well. But wait - there's more! We went down Jiffy Pop Backwards!!!!! Bestest Ginger snaps and other super healthy lunch options too, washed down with yummy hibiscus pink tea. So - if you want the small company vibe that cares about you as a participant and partner, Square Eddy is the way to go.

In the short amount of time we spent with the owners, we got to know them and their friends very well. Linc was our guide and he was full of knowledge and information. He was also a tremendous guide as far as rafting is concerned. The lunch we all shared was homemade and delicious. The cookies we had were incredible. The fresh fruit was a nice touch too. In total there were 4 rafts and approximately 20 people. We didn't need to wait around for anyone and the entire operation felt smooth and well-planned. We had a phenomenal time and highly recommend this activity.

My husband and I were very impressed with how smoothly instructions were given throughout our experience. The process of gathering the different groups of rafters and getting them fitted for PFD's, then loaded and unloaded on the buses was perfectly streamlined. We both felt safety was a top priority. When coupled with the personality plus guides on the bus and leading our raft, the trip was a great success. Aiden was our guide and provided plenty of humor, great conversation and just the right amount of water fun for our family. A couple days later we went to another company for lazy river tubing (a service not provided by Wild Waters) and the lack of organization and lackluster attention to Covid guidelines was extremely disappointing in comparison. We almost booked our rafting excursion with this competitor, but were so glad we didn't -- we really dodged a bullet! I couldn't recommend Wild Waters Outdoor Center more.

Their staff is extremely informative, attentive and accommodating. Nick in snowboarding is a master of his trade. He will make sure you are completely fitted properly with the right gear. The "Boot Whisperers" for skiing made sure we had the perfect fit for your type of foot. I repeatedly visited Steve through the weekend to tweak my boot fit with pressure heat molding and he was more than accommodating. If you are going to put down good money to ski and snowboard and be sure it is the right gear, whether its rental or purchase, this place is the best! They continually back up their products and business with excellence.
