City of Alexandria traffic court gave…read moreme a flyer with scant info, lacking details. 1) An online course is acceptable to the Court, provided it appears on the DMV's approved list, 2) you must submit the completion certificate to the Court, so complete the course at least one week before your deadline, to allow time for out-of-state mailing via FedEx 2-Day, and 3) because there are no proctoring centers in the City of Alexandria, you can take the EXAM online as well, and DMV's normal requirement is dropped, of showing up somewhere in person to take the exam. I wanted an ONLINE "Driver Improvement Course" (not a classroom.) The Yelp link leads to "Driver Improvement Program, Inc." registered at a house in Fairfax County, south of Alexandria. Apparently he does live classes. He is a real human, and he picks up the phone and answers questions. He appears on DMV's list. For the online course, he partners with an out-of-state provider, where I paid and actually completed the course, in about five hours. Twice, during business hours, I called the customer service number of his onilne partner, and after a minute or two on hold, Kellee answered and provided good service. The actual course proceeded smoothly. Unfortunately I procrastinated, and paid extra for FedEx (5pm), and I called and paid more over the phone for an upgrade to FedEx Priority (10:30am.) I suppose I expected sketchy and incompetent and delays, but it all went smoothly. I found this company listed locally, and the rate was only $20 different than the cheapest I had clicked on, so I didn't really shop around much.

Signed up my kid, and had a issue with the instructor not keeping to their appointment time. Delays happen, that's not the issue, but the customer should not be the one reaching out first to wonder if they are coming or not. Called and emailed Anees and the instructor confronted my child about an email I wrote. Totally unprofessional, then I eventually talk to the office and they had nothing but excuses about why they are often late to appointments. Missing the point, thing happen with kids driving, but if you know that you have an appointment and you are far away, let them know, and most importantly don't confront minors about a complaint their parent initiated. Anyways, they refused to make things right, I asked for a new driver and they refused that option, I asked for my money back and they eventually did after talking to the owner. I went to AA Plus Driving School and they answered their calls, were very professional, the instructor was very nice, and got it done in a week. Anees didn't know whey my child will finish, because they are too busy. If you don't care how you or your kids are treated, by all means keep going to them... not me.

Long story short, AA Plus answered their phone every time I call with questions, and their instructor was prompt, professional, and they were able to complete the course for us in a week. Anees Driving School basically could care less about your schedule, your kids welfare, or basic customer service. Very happy with our experience. Make sure you search for "AA Plus", there are other "AA" driving schools. Rubina was my daughters instructor and she was fantastic, ask for her if you can.

The information was passed to the current owner, who asked that I pass it to the previous owner due to your time with Sylvan. The refund falls under the previous owner, who has not responded to the email I sent. I let the current owner know and she is currently trying to reach out to the previous owner. I apologize for this delay, but wanted to keep you updated. The amount on the account $1806- cancellation fee $666 = $1140 refund. I have yet to receive the refund and they have continued to ignore my emails and requests for more information regarding who owes me the money. Do not trust them with your money or your child.
