I was recommended by a friend to try out this school. They had two different prices, teens and…read moreadults. Teens is a set amount, $240 I think, and adults are paid based on the hours. I was charged as as teen even though I was an adult. Being in a state of urgent trying to get my license ASAP, I didn't argue. I signed up for behind the wheel and it is suppose to take whole week, but I was done in three days because the driving instructor took shortcut and made the records on the paper look like it was done in a week. Once again, being in a state of urgent, I didn't argue. During my time with the instructor, he first mentioned my license would get to me in about a month and a half. On my third day, he mentioned it would take three months. I thought he was mistaken with his words so I didn't say anything about it. He took my paper work and gave me a paper, which serve as a temporary license. A month passed, no news. I texted my instructor a few times wondering if I could check on the status of my license, never a straight answer, just kept on telling me to wait three months. After awhile, I got worried so I called DMV. As you would have it, DMV had no record of me finishing my behind the wheel. I confronted my instructor about it, he said he couldn't talk because his uncle died. I spoke with his boss, seemed like a nice guy at first, but turned sour after a day. See, the thing is I wasn't worry about waiting, I was worry about my paperwork. The reason they said it would take three months is because DMV takes a long time to process as it got to take care of all the people in the state. When I found out DMV doesn't have my paperwork, that means my instructor held onto my paperwork for one month for God knows why. Eventually I brought my "temporary license" to DMV and got my license in A WEEK!! Had I given a second chance, I'd totally go with some driving school that's less shady than this crap school.

Personal hygiene, self care, common sense and teaching methods were the issues with Mrs. Bloomrose. My child went from struggling with N's and poor grades to Outstanding and Exceeds standards. I was met with combativeness from Mrs. Bloomrose in any communication and feel I made the best decision in removing my child. Graduating high school a year early with honors, and accepted at MIT. In not wanting negative attention toward my child, this was handled as I were being stationed out of the area. Quietly moved on and put all of this behind us. I've held that in for many years, been stationed out of the area, stationed back and decided it was time to put it to rest by adding a review. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star as I kept this to myself all these years. And is is not a reflection of Montclair Elementary School but rather a teacher there in 2013.

The middle school failed my child this school year. There's a notorious group of students that…read moresystematically bully new kids or someone outside their circle and the worst part, these students are favored among teachers. Multiple complains to the principal resulted in NOTHING! Only a check mark talk with the offenders and the vicious cycle goes on. It's a disgrace that teachers only promote their favorites to win competitions like Science fair. The middle school drastically lacked any fun or engaging events, fundraisers or activities that encouraged team work and inclusion of parents. There was only one field trip throughout the year and no promised end of year concert that even public schools have. The end of year award ceremony was unfairly selective. Throughout the year we got Zero photos from any teacher showing a school day, so it feels like this year just fell out equation with no memories to look back to. There's no graduation ceremony for 5th graders either, which they truly deserve. Since the new owner took over, the school environment (especially in upped grades) is rapidly deteriorating. And it's not surprising, the owner lives outside the country and rarely shows up. My gut feeling was right when I checked the school website before we enrolled and it was generic. And that's how this year felt, generic! A generic website with no teacher names, stock photos of students, there's nothing there that shows actual student life or curriculum or shows any photos of the teachers. This place is about squeezing every dollar they can from paying parents, while failing on delivering the fair support and equal opportunities every student deserves.

She complained about daily bullying, degrading or disrespectful comments from some kids in upper grades, because apparently, teachers combined 5th, 6th and 7th grades in the same classroom. School administration is not properly addressing the bullying issue either and I heard the new owner is missing in action, never present and it shows. We as parents were never invited to any classroom event, where we could engage with students, teachers and other parents. There's also no student counselor on site, which upper grades really need. This school needs to step up with its upper grades policies, so every student feels appreciated and having the support the need.
