Horchata-huge glass. No refills but was more then enough. It was excellent!

We stopped here on our way home. We have passed it so many times and have always wanted to stop. It was a bit empty but it was a Tuesday, so I wasn't surprised. We walked in and were greeted right away, I think the bartender. A server walked over and took us right away to our table. Our server was friendly and very attentive. I really like the booths being tall so you have more privacy. You can't see the people in the next booth on either side of you. They start you off with a basket of chips and salsa. Now, the way you know if a place is going to be good, is by the salsa. I was pleasantly surprised at the home made taste. It was fresh and appetizing. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito deluxe with green sauce. He really enjoyed it and said everything tasted fresh and they did not skimp on the meat, he commented on the taste of the beans being home made and flavorful. I ordered two carne asada a la carte tacos. I was surprised at the size, I thought they would be mini. They were delicious and I was very happy with what I ordered. We will be back and try other items.

Stopped in here for dinner with a thirst for a margarita. I ordered two grande margaritas. The food was good but the margaritas were small drinks in a large glass full of ice. They charged us $26 for two. I went back the next day and ordered a small and a grande. I dumped the grande liquid into the small glass to see if my suspicions were true. It was confirmed that the small and grande margaritas are the same amount of liquid. The grande glass is all ice. The second day they charged me $11.50 for the grande. I don't like being jerked around so they can rip off the customer. I will post the receipts if anyone is interested. I wonder if the ingredients in their food is what they say it is.

Our 3 year old and 1 year old shared the papas con huevo and I will admit I stole a few bites of the potatoes. Hands down some of the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff was super friendly and welcoming which made the experience even better. We have tried several other Mexican food spots in Big Bear and honestly left disappointed but this place delivered on every level. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu next time. We came on a very snowy day and there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant so we had our choice of seats. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in choosing our dishes. We've been to many Mexican restaurants so we are pretty sure what we wanted, but had a few questions as some of the items seemed a little different than expected. She got the enchiladas with bean sauce on top which we're pretty darn good. I got a chicken mole dish that was good, but not quite what I was hoping for. We both came to the conclusion that this restaurant represents a regional area of Mexico that is not necessarily the same as your standard Mexican food lineup. While the food was tasty, we didn't absolutely love it and probably won't choose this place for our next Mexican meal.

It was kind of fast and came to see how we were doing every few minutes. The bad experience starts with the food, first of all the price is very expensive compared to the quality of the food, about $30 for two tacos not mention that one taco had only four little shrimps, my wife got the flautas and as soon as she got them, we noticed there were mosquitoes on the food so we returned the plate We ended up eating at a different time because of this problem we still got charged for it, nothing special on the Michelada, which is 18 bucks for only one beer and clamato At the end, we order a dessert of fried ice cream and unfortunately, another bad thing with this food a pubic hair at the bottom of the fried ice cream. It was very nasty. I decided not to complain anymore, but instead to leave a review, this is the first and last time that I'm coming to this place Another thing to point out is the bathroom is in a horrible condition, they don't take the trash out once the bin is full so there's many things that they really have to work on

When we arrived, we were told it would be a two hour wait so obviously we decided to head next-door to Rosalva 's. It's important to know that it's directly off the highway so be wary when pulling in or out of the parking. There are enough spaces for about a dozen cars, but if those spaces are full, you may have to choose another option. Inside is fairly small, but they have a large outdoor patio that is popular during the summer and warmer months. Service was very fast and the menu itself is very large. For this visit, I decided to try the Steak Wet Burrito and enjoyed it. It was a large sized portion and overall it was pretty good. It's not quite as great as you get down at sea level, but given the location I would say it's one of the best options in Lake Arrowhead for Mexican food. I would stop in again next time I am visiting and would recommend to any fan of Mexican cuisine.
