I have been coordinating events for several years now and was happy to find that this Paso Robles Company moved to my neck of the woods in Atascadero. I was working with a mom who was planning a Quinceanera and they transformed a basic looking Banquet Room into a magical place with a dance floor with draping and several different light features, projected and sparkling etc... The delivery was by the owner himself who has done red carpet events and Beverly Hills White Parties. And I was impressed! The whole last event was orchestrated by Rhianna from the beginning to the end. I had to call about a delivery issue and even though I interrupted her DAY OFF, she made a few phone calls and I was called right away by the owner. My client was very happy as well. She also dealt only with Rhianna from start to finish. Every single time I needed to talk to anyone there, Rhianna either answered or called me right back. And this event that I am referring to, actually happened during their move from their Paso Robles location to their new Atascadero location. I guarantee, if I am not happy with a business I will definitely YELP them! And if I am happy, I will eventually sit down and write a rather lengthy YELP to thank them for a job well done. Considering that most rental companies use the same third party for linens, we figured we'd end up getting the same things anyway. Not to mention, their cocktail tables were much nicer than anywhere else. We soon found out what you get for the additional money: customer service. We had to go back-and-forth with Michelle several times on our invoice to correct errors in the items, quantity and price. Then, on the day before the wedding, we discovered they had shorted us 3 cocktail tables and 30 napkins. When we called to get it corrected, we were told they could only give us 2 tables and were given the option of selecting from 3 alternate colors for the napkins. Rather than having 90 napkins of one color and 30 of another, I asked that they deliver 60 white napkins, so we could alternate them with the other color on the tables. I was told that Michelle had already left to deliver the other colors. I explained that this was not my problem and that they needed to fix it. When we arrived on the morning of the wedding, I discovered that we received the other colors and had not received the white napkins as I had requested. I was told that they would be "happy" to refund the difference for the napkins. That's not much solace when you're staring down a wedding in four hours. Our caterer ended up providing us with the white napkins, and I'm still waiting for my refund...

Recently one of my BFF's enlisted my expertise to help coordinate her nuptial day. She was planning it at this super cute winery on the Central Coast and was going for a simple, wistful theme but wanted to highlight key details that really expressed her and her groom's personality for a unique, intimate experience. When helping her look for chair and decor rentals in the area it seemed like every place we found had that same French, country cottage style. There's nothing wrong with that but it is a little, been there seen that (at every wedding in the past ten years). Then I stumbled upon Avenue Twelves' website and I started crying tears of joy. Not really, but you get the picture. There was a huge variety of unique pieces to choose from, all gorgeous in their own way. Tommy, the owner, was a dream to work with, and really understood the bride's overall vision. He helped pull pieces together that the bride would have never picked on her own, and yet they worked perfectly. There was even a chair on the site that said "coming soon" that my friend was dying to have as part of her lounge and Tommy went out of his way to order it and make sure that it arrived in time for her special day. He helped me style a few lounge areas and a guest sign-in space, and it all came together perfectly. The set up and pick up was seamless and the entire process was completely hassle-free. I will without a doubt be recommending Avenue Twelve to my family and friends in the area, and will hopefully have the opportunity to use them again for upcoming parties or events.
