I normally do not give 1 star reviews but am writing this post because I take health very…read moreseriously. I have been here twice now and will not be returning. * Follow up visit from ER: I began going to this doctor after an issue that resulted in an ER trip, which I would say went well (clear results, knowledgable and listening staff, many tests). When I go to this doctor, she dismissed the ER doctor on account of his male sex and affiliation with the ER. She claimed that he literally made my problem up and used the tests run at the ER to support his false claim, yet, she ordered a follow up to test his theory, which turned out to be verified as correct. She was very matter-of-fact about this, claimed she knew more, and did not apologize for or address her failure and rudeness at my second visit. * False information given by doctor: I will not name my doctor (there are only three there) but when I went in for an appointment that could have been a phone call (it was over a test result I had already viewed over a week before the appointment), I asked if tele-health was a possible future option and I was told that it is not preferable because it would cause said doctor to work into the evening and not see her kids. Fine. BUT she proceeded by saying she has up to 60 appointments per day and therefore cannot have tele-health because it would take time away from her already busy schedule. According to one of the women at the desk, this doctor works from 9am-3pm, for a total of 6 hours. 6 hours/ 60 appointments = 6 minutes per appointment (no lunch, no breaks, no walking time, nothing extra at all). You can see how unfeasible this is, especially given the amount of time it would take to do even a basic procedure like a pap smear... It sounds like she lied about the number of appointments she has per day to give a 'good' reason as to why she cannot have tele-health appointments. This, to me, is a stupid thing to lie over and is an integrity issue- an issue I would expect my doctor to be 100% free from. * Nurse issues: During my appointment today, the nurse did her usual set of procedures before the doctor came in. However, it seemed like she was really rushing: when she was asking my about new problems since the last visit, I was not finished explaining my situation, when she said "okay let's take your blood pressure". Rushing things again, she took my blood pressure in about 3 seconds, leading me to believe she recorded a false reading. I have never had anyone take my blood pressure this fast, and this is significant, in that, my college roommate (at the best nursing school in Ohio) and all her friends always took longer than this even when they got really good, my mother (a seasoned nurse) admitted to never being able to do it this fast, and in my experience as someone who has a lifelong health condition (going on 8 years now) and many associated appointments I have never had it be this fast. * Failure to meet modern health care expectations: According to the website, tele-health is an option available for this doctor. When questioned, and as discussed above, she denied the opportunity for patients to have tele-health. She eventually said that since she has been practicing patient care for so long that she actually knows a lot about how it would not work. Here is a potential solution to use tele-health in the interest of offering the things the website advertises, maintaining a modern approach and offering client safety (especially relevant during the pandemic): offer tele-health appointments en lieu of in person appointments during, let's say, two hours per week. Maybe even one hour on one day and one hour another to spread it out. Allowing patients to have appointments during these times who only need to discuss test results, prescription questions, etc could allow time to be spent even more efficiently, especially if it is somehow true that she has 60 patients a day. * Appointment scheduling problems: I had an appointment to discuss my test result set for over two weeks, an appointment I specifically called to set up, as one would. Imagine my surprise when I receive a phone call several days before my scheduled time, confirming my appointment for the next day. As it turns out, they had moved my appointment without asking me beforehand. When I checked mychart later that day, I saw that I had a message from my doctor confirming this, in that, she asked if the moved appointment was okay. In fact it was not okay, and I ended up needing to reschedule my appointment for "another available time" which ironically was my original appointment slot, which also means that they got rid of that slot for me (which, if they would have kept it open in case the closer date was not good for me, that would have been fine. It was not apparent that this was the case, however, since the slot was not occupied by any patients including myself). * The other posts' claims are still accurate.

Today I should be baking a birthday cake for my son. At the time this place was called "Erie shore…read morewomen's health" but I guess they've changed the name. I should be watching my son open presents, celebrating another year of his life. I should be driving him to school. Doing his laundry. Countless silly everyday things. But I don't have any of that thanks to the poor care by this office. Frequently I would make appointments and they'd call and have them moved around and this would happen with every appointment I had. I would make early appointments, always there with maybe one other patient. I can remember one of my appointments scheduled for 9:45 and she didn't come in until 11am. It would be one thing if they spent time with their patients asking questions and giving advice (this was my first so I was flying blind) but this is something they do not do. They speak far too fast then race out of the room. One appointment they were going to listen to my son's heartbeat. For some unexplained reason she put the Doppler away. I never got to hear my son's heartbeat. Never explained why she wanted to wait. Another time they had to reschedule a test. I had an app scheduled for later when the test should be done but they rescheduled it to happen a few weeks earlier so it just dawned on her that it couldn't be done that day. So not only did they waste my time, but I just wasted a trip all the way out there for no reason. Medical conditions that affect many women they are not familiar with. Like PCOS women tend to have low progesterone levels. With my rainbow pregnancies I did. So my new doctor down here placed me on progesterone. Also a simple blood test would've detected that I had a blood clotting disorder that affects pregnant women. Simple blood test would've diagnosed it. Instead I get a large blood clot and my son died. I've yet to run into a mother in Lorain county that would recommend this place. I know ladies in my church who've used them. There are 12 of us and ALL of us left the practice. One left because they forgot to schedule her glucose test. How does that happen?

The tip of the iceberg was when they denied me my dose because I could not stay and update my treatment plan because I had to go to court and it was not an option to miss court, even after suggesting that would be able to come back afterwards and being denied that option, so I'm going on 4 days without dosing, and itll be going on 7 days without dosing by the time I can finally go in yo update my treatment plan. That is absolutely bull**** and completely unacceptable, how do they expect anyone to maintain there sobriety if they are denying people there doses because they can't stay for an hour on a day they were not scheduled to stay anyways, I'm honestly flabbergasted.

Once in the room, we waited some more. All of this is not great, but to be expected with most medical places now. Once the doctor saw us, it sure seemed like this place is a money making machine first and patient second. He quickly determined what he thought the issue was, and sent us home with a simple knee brace. They bring around an iPad with a ton of information then don't give you time to read it...I would assume the ridiculous price is buried in there. The following weeks we saw multiple other medical professionals, each of which indicated that the knee brace wasn't needed and had nothing to do with the injury. Further, he hadn't even checked on what the issue ended up being. This was a waste of time and money. We were charged nearly $300 for a simple knee brace. This exact knee brace that was available in multiple places on line and in store for well less than $100. I would wait and make an appointment with a different practice.

I cannot imagine how the one person who left a negative review had the experience s/he claimed to have. It does not align with my knowledge of his ethics or behavior. At YWCA Greater Cleveland engaged Energetic Awakenings to help us process and talk about some internal issues and difficult subjects. David Phillips was our practitioner. His calming presence and excellent facilitation skills, helped us to create a safe space, bring some issues to the forefront, and create action steps. Personally, I have participated in a group workshop with Energetic Awakenings where they helped me process some difficult emotions through core body work. I did not realize how much emotion I was holding on to, and how that pent-up emotion was holding me back. Even though I was in a group setting, I felt that the practitioner was able to give each person (including me) the individual attention that they needed. They made me feel safe. When my 20 year old son was having some personal problems and struggling at university, I took him to Energetic Awakenings. Of course, I was not in the room when they were working due to patient confidentiality. However, I can say that my son was more hopeful and at peace after his work at Energetic Awakenings. Based on my professional and personal experiences with Energetic Awakenings and David Phillips, I recommend them with the highest regard.
