Tamra is extremely knowledgeable regarding myriad services for children and adults and is an amazing asset to families and our community. I am a single mother of 4 here in Wake County and 2 of my children are severely autistic with other differences including sensory processing issues and pica. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tamra when she was assigned as my child's case manager during her tenure at the CDSA (Children's Developmental Services Agency). Tamra helped me with services for my child and also gave me a lot of advice for my other child that was already in the school system with an IEP. Tamra can help with guidance during IEP meetings and advocate for your child and I can tell you from my personal experience, she will treat your child/children as if they were her own. Tamra was even attentive and answered questions for my 2 children that don't have special needs, but were learning along with me. Tamra is very professional, attentive, determined and I promise you, you would not regret having her help you navigate the complex world of disabilty services, the school system and acquiring other services. I was extremely overwhelmed when we first met because both of my children had just been diagnosed, but Tamra took us under her wing and made me feel so much more confident and comfortable with the processes. My children love Tamra and her family....it was funny because when she started working with us we found out she literally lived in the same subdivision. Tamra's family has become framily (friends that are pretty much family).....because when people go above and beyond and do so much for your family.....they often become just like family and you develop a deep connection and respect. I am so proud of Tamra for making this leap into consulting and starting her own business and I am also so extremely thankful that our community has her. You would not regret having her help you and your family......she's top notch in every way.

My son loves Ms. Watson and Ms. Philbrinck! They are so patient and so clearly care about him holistically, not just as another head count in the class. They do such fun projects that incorporate developmentally appropriate curriculum and my son loves to talk about the things he's learning through play. The teachers also obviously use productive guidance for correcting behaviors and you can just tell they love the kids and want the best for them. My daughter's teachers Jenna and Sara are also both incredible women who work with the toddlers. My daughter has no hesitation when we drop her off, she's excited to spend the day with her friends and teachers, too. The exploration and play in her room is well rounded and it's obvious that they're helping the kids meet milestones AND have a blast. You can also tell how much these teachers pour into caring for the kids. I know my daughter is loved from the moment she arrives to the minute she leaves! We're very happy with the programs, the lunch and snack options, and the teachers and staff. Thank you all for being part of our village! We've been here for six months now and everything is going well. Communication is great, and they also send out awesome newsletters every week to help keep us informed on family fun throughout the area.

All three of our kids progressed through classes offered at Kiddie Academy of West Cary. Our…read moreyoungest started in the infants' room and is just now graduating to enter kindergarten. The center is bright, open, and welcoming with a happy, cheerful atmosphere that's comforting to both kids and parents. We've absolutely loved the teachers - it's been great to see the true care, concern, and commitment they have for our kids. We love that staff turnover is low and the personal relationships the management and teachers develop with kids and parents allows for easy and quick communication. Our kids have really enjoyed Wednesday Spanish classes, the special activities like puppet shows, dance classes, musicians, and science experiments. In the summers, our kids have enjoyed playing on their splash pad on Fridays and watching veggies grow in the raised bed garden in the back. We love that Kiddie Academy of West Cary has received national recognition from the Kiddie Academy franchise - even with more than 200 locations across the country, this branch's director and teachers have won national awards. We'll really miss everyone at the center once our youngest leaves next month.

My son started in the infant classroom about 4 years ago and we now have all 3 of our children enrolled on a full-time basis. We are pretty particular about things (I can totally picture the staff chuckling as they read this! :), so having all of our kids enrolled here is saying A LOT! We definitely had many options when it came to childcare, but by far, this was the best choice for our family. Each day, as we walk through the doors, we are always warmly greeted with smiles and by our first names. The level of transparency and communication has always made us feel at ease and the best part is receiving all the pictures/videos of our kids' smiley faces while they are having a dance party, playing with instruments during music, learning new words and songs in Spanish, playing soccer or just having a blast with their best buds. We also enjoy being able to check-in on the camera feed when we are missing them during our busy work day. The teachers are beyond amazing... fun, creative, loving, the list goes on... and they won't ever hesitate to go the extra mile for their students! We've seen so much growth in our children, both on a social and academic level and I know for sure we owe a lot of it to the care and education they are receiving at KA. We also found that the administration's willingness to be flexible and accommodating to our specific needs to be invaluable. If you are looking for a well rounded pre-school with exceptional teachers, competent and involved admin team, and an environment where your little one(s) can have fun and thrive, look no further! She would come home unusually quiet, sit in a corner (completely unlike her), and wouldn't even smile. Even though they shared videos, something just didn't feel right. Within a week, we made the decision to pull her out. After speaking with Ms. Tina at The Nest - Middleton, I immediately felt reassured by her care and transparency. But more importantly, I could see the difference in my daughter almost right away. She was happy again, back to her energetic self, and excited to tell us about her day--what songs she sang, activities she did, and even interacting with other kids. What really stood out to me was the level of attention, communication, and genuine care from the staff. As a parent, that peace of mind is everything. On our tour of the facility Ms. Terri was thorough and warm and answered all of our questions. And once enrolled, our son Nolan loved every minute. Seemed that every day he came home talking about something funny or nice that Ms. Amy did for the class. (She's one of his favorite people ever!) He entered at 4, hardly able to identify letters and numbers, and graduated yesterday with tons of progress. He has started reading, can count to 100, knows more species of animals than any adult I know, and most importantly for me, has developed a lot socially. He enjoyed the time with friends at school so much. They are affordable, flexible and understanding of parents schedules. If I had to list a complaint, it would be that they don't have an outdoor playground/space. (But their indoor play space is pretty good, and there is actually a playground directly east of the building for an after school stop) All in all this place gets a 5 out of 5 from me and I highly recommend them for any parents of young kiddos. She is really great with the little ones. She treats your kids like her own. I had researched about 4-5 other MMO programs and I was the most comfortable with Little Dreamers and Ms. Lela. His current 3 year old teacher is also great and he's learned how to trace letters, write his name, and do both art and science projects. My youngest son (19 months) started going to the MMO program this year and has really learned a lot from Ms. Lela. They focus on playing and learning through singing. He knows his numbers (1-10), his alphabet, "Itsy Bitsy Spider", and hums to others. Things that I really like about the preschool: 1. I like that there's a lunch bunch option where you can add a lunch hour to your kid's day until 1pm. You can change it monthly. 2. I also really like that there is a carpool lane that you can use for drop-off and pick-up. This is really convenient, especially if you have an infant or younger child who isn't going to preschool yet or who may have fallen asleep on the way for pick-up. 3. Cleanliness 4. School library where the kids can "checkout" books to read. They started that this year and my son likes to get two news books daily! 5. Option for parents night out - they offer once a month on Fridays for a parents night out. We did this once, but haven't done it since due to our kids' early bedtimes. The only thing that I wish the school had was an outdoor play area. They do have a room dedicated for play with slides and trains though so they do get some playtime. Would highly recommend this preschool, especially if you are looking for a MMO program for a 1 year old!
