Compared to Rhyd Broughton, who we went to a couple of times with one of our first rats, and promptly never went back due to attitude, price, and the feeling of an overall lack of interest or knowledge about rats; Borras Park Vets are outstanding. [As an example, at Rhyd Broughton, after having one of our rats put down, I had to wait in reception for well over 5 minutes, in tears, waiting to pay for the treatment. Disgraceful]. The two main vets at Borras are both lovely - very approachable, informative, and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable, and in an emergency they always do their best to fit us in. A very nice touch after one of our rats had to be put down was they sent us a With Sympathy card. Very thoughtful, and costs them very little. Borras Park also have a surgery in Lavister (by the Grosvenor Hotel in Pulford).

They are slightly pricey, but no more than any other vet I know of. They also offer the microchip slightly cheaper on certain days. They have a 24hour call out service but this can be costly. The staff are extremely helpful and will always offer you the best advice, rather than the most profitable! I would strongly recommend them to anyone who has concerns about their pet's reaction in vets. Adams are very accommodating and will often be able to fit you in at short notice or even on a drop in, however a Saturday morning is appointments only.

On a Wednesday they visit as far as Criccieth for no additional charge, they may visit other areas but I am not sure. We took our 1 year old cat in at 10pm one evening as we had found her injured. The vet was lovely, really caring and understanding.She did an x-ray straight away, and explained little Ellies injurys to us. We were kept informed of everything for about three days, but eventually got a call to say she was not going to pull through, we drove straight down, and Lizzie, the vet who had treated Ellie all the way through was in tears as she put Ellie to sleep. We now have three more cats, and would never consider taking them to any other vets.

I called the R.C.P.C.A and there was not a thing that they could do. I started to call around the local vets in a desperate attempt to get something done for this poor dog. All of the vets I telephoned were not interested they mostly told me to pay for some treatment for the dog then try to get the money back from the owner. With this being so close to Christmas i didn.t have any spare money even if i wanted to do this. I called Aardvark and even though it was a Saturday they arranged for someone to stay behind so that i could take to dog to them. They took the dog in and cared for it free of charge.
